‘A good-looking woman will be promoted…’: ;’Fairly feminist’ Redditor claims workplace favours females, biased against male employees

Redit’s participation by a man accusing his workplace thanks to female female employees on their male counterparts ignited a discussion on social media. The user, who described himself as a “somewhat feminist” until recently, claimed that women in his office work fewer hours but get faster promotional offers, while men are expected to put in longer hours without any additional compensation.

“I am a 24 -year -old man, I am a somewhat feminist person (so far). But since I entered the workplace, I can see the difference in how men and women are treated,” he wrote.

Claims of gender contrast

Redditor has included several ways that men are facing defects at work:

  • Women receive lighter consequences for errors that will be expensive for men.

  • Women work accurately from 9 to 5, while men are expected to be placed in seizures from 14 to 15 hours without additional salaries.

  • Senior employees take additional time to direct female colleagues, while men are expected to learn alone.

  • Priority is given to women for promotions, and often based on appearance instead of skills.

He explained that he does not hate women, nor does he blame them for his struggles. He added that even female colleagues confessed to bias at the workplace. He concluded that “it is appointed to be promoted for a good appearance without any skills … somewhat sad from this situation, either to be the best and give your entire life or that you have been marginalized for your entire life.”

Social media reactions

The post received mixed reactions. Some users sympathize with his fears, but they indicated that the real issue lies in management, not female employees.

One user said: “You must hate your workplace, not women. I hate your superiors who take advantage of men, not women.”

“You are right to observe injustice, but it is not the recipient’s mistake. The person who gives such services is to be blamed for him,” another indicated.

She agreed to comment on some points, but she did not agree to working hours. “Perhaps women with a good look or those who stay close to some managers, but our rest also work for long hours.”

Some users shared their own experiences with gender -based employment biases. One of them said: “Employment has caused diversity in many of the damage caused by the children of 2024. Some companies have interviewed with an equal number of men and women, but it ended with the choice of only two boys and 70 girls.”

“Girls do not even know how to open Windows Task Manager who were placed with 12 LPA packages,” she mocked another.

While some have recognized that diligent women and deserved to succeed in their grandparents, the discussion has highlighted the increasing frustration over sexual policies in employment and promotional offers.
