Aaqib Javed goes delusional, announces Pakistan as T20 World Cup 2026 champions

Pakistan’s top-performing coach Aaqib Javed has maintained his faith in his players, declaring that the announced Pakistan team under the captaincy of Salman Agha is capable of not only performing well but also winning the T20 World Cup, and so he expects them to do so.

Pakistan has unveiled their squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup and they are all geared up to make their side look like a strong side that is ready to face all the challenges in the tournament. They will be looking to turn their fate around after a disastrous group stage exit in the competition last time out in the United States.

Pakistan have also been placed in the same group with the Indians and will be looking to avenge their humiliation in the Asia Cup after the Men in Blue thrashed them three times in the competition. They will also look to retaliate against the American side.

“Pakistan will win the World Cup” – Aqib Javed

After choosing a team himself, Aaqib Javed went on to talk about what his team can do and what he expects from the team. Javed mentioned why Babar Azam’s inclusion was important from Pakistan’s perspective.

He stated that although Babar is not one of the fastest players in the order, he is the most consistent batsman and has been cited as a crucial player in the team. Babar has been selected for various roles in the side.

“I am very positive and I hope Pakistan will not only do well but win the World Cup,” Aaqib Javed said.

Mike Hesson explains the snub of Haris Rauf and Mohamed Waseem Jr

Another shocking revelation in Pakistan’s World Cup squad was the snub of one of their veteran stars, Haris Rauf, who has been part of every ICC tournament since his debut for the Pakistan national team.

Head coach Mike Hesson announced the reason why they had to ignore players like Haris Rauf, Mohammad Waseem Jr and Ahmed Daniel, because they could not make it because the other three who were included in the squad could run in all phases of the game.

“We thought about Haris Rauf, Wasim Junior and Ahmed Danial, but they couldn’t come because the other three, Shaheen, Salman and Naseem, could run in all three phases,” said head coach Mike Hesson.

The head coach backs striker Usman Khan

Usman Khan, the Pakistan cricketer who has returned to them, has been a consistent performer for them and was not out in three of Pakistan’s last few innings when they chased down a target.

Khan was effective for Pakistan in the series against Sri Lanka and will be part of the upcoming series against Australia. He has been tipped for the finisher’s role in the ICC T20 World Cup and has been backed by head coach Mike Hesson.

Mike Hesson said: “Usman Khan has done very well since his return. He has not been out in the last 3 chases.”
