Abhishek Sharma not alone, Shubman Gill also comes in Ihsanullah’s firing range in fresh assault

Pakistan fast bowler Ehsanullah has issued a stern warning to Indian Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma which has now gone viral on social media. After confidently claiming that if he faced Abhishek Sharma in a match, the contest would not last more than a minute, Ehsanullah launched a fresh attack on India’s batting sensations.

Abhishek Sharma was India’s standout star in the Asia Cup 2025. He played a key role in India winning the title. The 25-year-old finished the tournament as the top run-scorer with 314 runs in seven matches, including three fifties, and maintained an impressive batting average of close to 200.

His consistent performances were a key factor in India’s success under Suryakumar Yadav in the continental tournament in the United Arab Emirates. Although Abhishek failed to score big in the final against Pakistan, scoring just five runs, he dominated almost every other match.

The left-handed opener has been particularly dangerous against Pakistan’s fast bowlers, as they handled their pace with ease in the recent 2025 Asia Cup. The Punjab lad’s aggressive batting and confidence at the crease have made him one of the most dangerous openers in the world.

On the other hand, Ehsanullah first caught attention during the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL), when he bowled a speed of 152.65 kmph. This performance helped him quickly rise through the ranks, and he earned opportunities in white-ball cricket for Pakistan before injury sidelined him.

Meanwhile, Ehsanullah made another interesting remark against Abhishek Sharma, who is the world’s number one T20I batsman, and Shubman Gill. While Abhishek has proven that he is capable of playing quality bowling and performing under pressure with his fearless batting and ability to dominate the bowlers, Shubman Gill is an equally talented and aggressive batsman in all formats.

In a viral video, Ehsanullah threatened to show his pace when asked why the Pakistani pacer felt he could destroy Gill and Abhishek in the span of a few overs. The contestant said they all have “two legs and two hands,” and that’s enough to show the world who’s the best.

He also said that there is no difference in level between him and the Indian batting stars. Ehsanullah even mentioned Haris Rauf, who was badly beaten by Gill and Abhishek in the 2025 Asia Cup, mentioning the latter as the only lethal player Pakistan currently has.

Gill and Shubman are currently preparing for the upcoming white-ball series in Australia.

While the left-handed batsman is part of the T20I squad, Gill is all set to make his debut as captain of Australia’s ODI side on October 19 in Perth. Gill recently led India to a 2-0 Test series win over West Indies at home.
