ACEA launches Central and Eastern European automotive hub

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) launched the Central and Eastern Car Center (CEE).

The Hub was launched in cooperation with national automotive associations in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Slovakia to enhance the sound of the CEE industry in the European Union (European Union) policy.

ACEA stated: “Together, these associations represent a region that is not only essential for the artificial fabric of the European Union, but it is necessary for its future competitiveness and economic flexibility as Europe moves towards the transfer of emissions.”

The CEE Center is locally coordinated by the Czech Auto Industry Association (AutosAp) and will provide organized political intelligence, regional coordination, and support strategic awareness on European Union legislation that affects the auto sector.

The region hosts 35 groups of car stations, battery and engines, which represent 15 % of all European Union factories.

In the previous year, about 1.2 million cars were sold in the region, representing 10 % of vehicle sales in the European Union.

“This is related to making our region an integral part of the European Union policy conversations – a strategic voice and not just a production base. This is a new type of cooperation for our region – not only stronger links with Brussels, but are stronger links between us,” said Autosap Zdeeněk Petzl.

“The axis gives us the structure to work together more effectively and speak more clearly when it is important.”

The most prominent recent report supported by ACEA barriers that prevent the transmission of electric vehicles in Europe (EV), noting the high production costs, the fragility of the supply chain, and insufficient shipping infrastructure as major concerns.

The report emphasized that the shift to EVS requires a major shift in supply chains and current value.

According to the report, this shift will have profound implications for jobs, investment flows and global competitiveness of the European Union.
