When asked about Kane’s request, Young didn’t hesitate. “I usually get a combo box, and sometimes a kayak if I’m really hungry,” she said. “And of course, extra Keen’s sauce. I’m a big person, so I need three sauces, and I always finish with sweet tea.”

Her post-match cravings have long made her her unofficial party spot at the Raising Cane. “Honestly, I eat a lot of Ken’s food,” she admitted. “After games, they stay open late, so I go in late at night.”

While fans know her for her calm composure, Young’s mindset is anything but negative. The WNBA champion, All-Star and three-time Olympic gold medalist spoke about her laser-focused approach to success. “I put in a lot of work,” she said. “In the gym, in the off-season, during the season, just to get my body and mind back,” she said. “I think it’s about wanting to achieve greatness.”

She also credits her humble beginnings with fanning her fire, saying, “It was tough growing up, but I always told my family I wanted to be a WNBA player. I wanted to help my family so we could make it happen.” It is this drive, coupled with her consistency and leadership, that has made Young one of the cornerstones of the ace dynasty and a role model for the next generation of athletes.
