Air Force One delays continue as Boeing struggles with new planes

president Donald Trump has his attention on a new version of Air Force One, as delay and costs continue to replace the long -awaited presidential aircraft in Boeing.

The latest data from 2020 says at least 20 aircraft forming the executive fleet. A newly created plane has not been added for nearly 27 years. It is expected that some of those in service are currently in flight for another 13 years.

“They do not build the plane quickly enough. I mean, they are actually backward,” Trump said of Boeing in an interview with Sean Hanity.

Air Force One is used to set any air force plane carrying the Supreme Commander. There are currently two very dedicated Boeing aircraft deployed in 1990 when George Harbter Bush was president. Since then, the aircraft carried the presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Trump and Joe Biden and now Trump again.

Air Force officials say it is possible to add some security features to the Qatar plane, but it is unlikely to have a full set of technology through Trump’s schedule in February.

Four Boeing 757s or C-32AS is the latest aircraft in the executive fleet. That was added in 1998 and 1999. The Air Force is studying potential replacement options, but the current planes will continue to fly until 2038. In 2014, Obama was forced to switch aircraft during a campaign event in Philadelphia after a simple mechanical problem was reported in Air Force One.

In 2021, the Vice -President of Kamala Harris, the emergency emergency plane, requested the joint base and Andrews, where its first foreign flight began abroad to Guatemala and Mexico.

Recently, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio plane was forced to rotate on Munich in February due to a mechanical problem.

The latest aircraft between the executive fleet are marine helicopters. Biden was first rode on the newly designed navy during the Democratic National Congress. These took nearly two decades, and in some cases, the helicopters that fly since the 1970s have been replaced.

Boeing 777X is expected to be the next new major commercial aircraft. It is scheduled to enter the service in 2026 after delaying nearly six years with Lufthansa the first trip. The modern plane is designed to obtain a foldable wing set, a touch screen flight and a wider cabin.
