Republican Mike Luller from New York, in an interview on Sunday morning about “Fox and Friends”, criticized the dismissal calls by OCASIO-Cortez and other Democrats.
“For my colleagues who are now calling for dismissal, it is very ridiculous,” Luller said. “Barack Obama attacked Libya, Syria, Pakistan and Yemen during his term and did not call once to dismiss. So, these people really reach new levels of Trump’s deformation in the wake of yesterday’s decision.”
Congress has actually announced the war since 1941, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, and legal scientists have long been divided around whether the president had the authority to launch a unilateral military strike.
