Arizona to begin removing non-citizens from voter rolls following lawsuit

Exclusive: All 15th Arizona provinces have now started to verify non -citizens and remove them from the lists of voters, including approximately 50,000 registrants who have not provided evidence of American citizenship.
“This settlement is a great result of all Arzonan,” said James Rogers, the chief legal advisor in America in Arizona.
AFL filed the lawsuit against 15 Arizona Province last year on behalf of Ezaz.org, and iPhone Cahill, the registered voter and the naturalized citizen, on the pretext that the provinces were not following the state law that requires proof of citizenship to vote in local and state elections and the state to carry out the monthly checks of the bases for others.

As a result of the lawsuit, the fifteen provinces have now begun to work with the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) to verify the state of citizenship for all voters registered in the state who failed to provide evidence of citizenship.
While the 2013 Supreme Court ruling prevents states from imposing the requirements of voters to exceed the federal requirements that registrants must determine a square that confirms their nationality in the United States, Arizona residents still provide evidence of citizenship to vote in government and local elections.
The Arizona Law also requires that the provinces make a monthly list to confirm American citizenship of the so -called “federal voters only”, a list of approximately 50,000 individuals who have failed to provide evidence of American citizenship and were not allowed to vote in government or local elections.

The registrants are then transferred that they are citizens to the regular list, while those who found that they are not employees are required to cancel their registration.
But AFL argued in the lawsuit that the provinces recorders were not using the resources available to them to help verify the state of citizenship, which is required by the Arizona law to do. As a result, all fifteen provinces sent DHS requests to help in their efforts to survey the lists of voters from non -citizens.

“This will help the provinces record to find and remove any foreigners,” Rogers said. “It is also possible that only federal voters who have been confirmed, allowing them to vote in government and local elections. AFL congratulates all the 15th of Arizona Province registrants to take this bold and important step for the safety of the state.”
