Israel Has Laid the Groundwork for Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza

Speaking to the White House journalists on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced, “We are working with the United States closely” to find countries that “give Palestinians a better future.” “If people want to stay, they can stay,” explain, “but if they want to leave, they should be able to leave.”

Netanyahu’s invitation to the Palestinians to leave a very well suitable for a series of Israeli policies that made Gaza not to be governmental and not present. Amid a renewed discussion of the ceasefire and permanent defeat in Hamas, the fact remains that Netanyahu has long long and preventing the creation of a reliable alternative to Humas.
In June, the Israeli opposition politicians made the Netanyahu’s attempts to arm the Hamas control militias and equip them in Gaza. Critics also condemned Israel’s use of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to provide assistance within the region. Indeed, the results of these policies were catastrophic. Over the course of last month, Israeli forces killed nearly 600 Palestinians pending receiving assistance, only a manifestation of the death of the region.
Ostensibly, Israel’s support for criminal gangs and offering insufficiency aid as separate parts of a broader problem seems to be a broader problem: without a plan “day after day”, Israel’s policies remain short -sighted and ineffective. However, if Netanyahu’s goal is to increase chaos and suffering in the tape to the extent that its inhabitants choose to immigrate “voluntarily”, it has already succeeded.
The best evidence that Israeli policy seeks to maintain chaos instead of enabling a new “reserved” leadership in Gaza that lies in the Palestinian actors that Israel cooperates. Netanyahu recently confirmed that Israel had armed a Palestinian “anti -terrorist service”, led by a man named Yasser Abu Shabab. Netanyahu responded indifferently to questions about this policy, by claiming:[W]E activates the clans in Gaza, which opposes Hamas. What is wrong with that? “
In fact, there are several wrong things in it. First, Abu Shabab militia is not a clan. It is a gang mainly composed by Castaways from many of the families in Gaza, which are often referred to as clans. Many of the outcasts for some reason; Before Abu Shabab escaped from prison in late 2023, he was serving a twenty -five -year prison sentence for drug trafficking. His family donated.
Second, his doubtful past calls on Abu Shabab that his group works to protect relief convoys from looting. His gang stole Palestinian civilians in the streets of Gaza, which does not carry the law. He regularly looted aid convoys. He did this in the parts of Gaza’s Israeli Gaza, under the eye of the Israeli defense forces, clarifying the complicity of Tel Aviv. According to a senior relief worker in Gaza more than a year ago, anonymous spoke to me, Israel will ignore Abu Shabab’s forces, while taking measures against both the Hamas Police Force and its forces affiliated with the clan that seeks to stop it. This was confirmed by a Palestinian diplomat from Gaza.
Israel not only turned a blind eye. It incites these activities. In May, UN officials accused Israel of directing its aid convoys across parts of Gaza, where Abu Shabab’s forces waited for them. The relief worker told me: “I was in meetings with senior [Israeli] Military officers who told us that we need “work” with gangs, which means that we need to pay them or allow them to steal some aid.
Another way Israel cooperated with the Gaza criminal gangs was by smuggling cigarettes. By working with their contacts in Egypt, the gangs hidden a cartoon of cigarettes in relief convoys. On the Gaza border, aid monitoring systems in Israel miraculously lost cigarettes. Once the convoys arrived in Gaza, the Israeli -backed militias and gangs will loot them, steal cigarettes, and sell them on the black market for $ 200 per package.
These activities show that the Abu Shabab gang has no little intention to replace Hamas as the Gaza Ruler’s party. It also lacks the ability to do this: the gang may be notorious, but it is a small force of about 300 men. Cooperation with Israel, theft of aid, and theft of the Palestinians in Gaza, did not spoil them to the region’s population. According to the relief factor, “Israel has enabled the only people who bet in Gaza more than Hamas and Israel.” The Palestinian diplomat claimed: “Hamas was hated in Gaza. But at least they maintain law and order.”
In May, Israeli Finance Minister Bezallil Soutrich boasted that “we are removing [Hamas’s] Minister [and] Bureaucrats. However, Israel was not an interest in governance.
In short, Israel did not hide from the chaos of Gaza. It aggravated it. This seems to be increasingly deliberate, given that the number of armed criminal gangs receiving Israeli support has spread. Hamas, in turn, created its regular militias, on the surface to fight criminal gangs. The result is chaos – that divers are fighting thugs on assistance and thus the authority over civilians in Gaza. A Gaza resident also claimed: “I no longer know who belongs to a clan, who is a criminal, and who is Hamas.”
In addition to its cooperation with the Abu Shabab gang, Israel’s work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation indicates a commitment to preserving the tape is not escaping. The Foundation – a non -governmental organization of mysterious assets, apparently funded by the United States and Israel – to regulate the delivery of aid in Gaza, the most severe, to prevent Hamas or other groups from looting and selling it for profit.
The Foundation worked with Israel to restrict the delivery of aid to several sites. These Israeli army and foreigners were supposed to be greatly secured to preserve peace. The Foundation employees will use surf lights on the site to liquidate any of the Hamas or other groups in the blacklist in Israel. It also guarantees that the institution gave each recipient only the amount of accurate aid necessary, thus preventing black market sales.
None of this happened. The sites suffer from a lack of employees and installed. Israeli forces use a continuous direct fire – including mortars and machine guns – to remove those looking for aid. Only when the shooting stops they can approach. An Israeli soldier described the sites as “a killing field … we form a shooting.”
The sites not only failed to prevent gangs from looting aid, but also the institutional character. In addition to the Israeli forces and American contractors, Ghazan gangs are guarding the sites, including the Abu Shabab Group. According to the Palestinian diplomat, these individuals get the first choice for help, which allows them to “take the most expensive elements, such as flour and sugar, for sale on the black market.” Only when you leave these groups, civilians can enter. This explains why the goods of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation are now common in market booths throughout the region.
Then there are logistical issues. The Foundation’s shares can feed less than half of the Gaza population. Whether they can achieve this, it is doubtful: While the United Nations used to operate about 400 auxiliary sites throughout the region, the Foundation has only four. Three of these sites lie on the border with the Sinai Peninsula, the Egyptian lands that Israeli officials have been proposed again and repeated Palestinian. The four are all in the evacuating evacuation areas and that advise Israel Palestinians against entry.
All these issues were easily expected. Israel did not act to prevent them from hints, either to inefficiency or deliberate design. This is the context required to understand Israel’s increasing support for armed thugs and offering catastrophic aid. It can provide aid on paper, while making it a life -threatening endeavor. You can claim that it enables actors other than hamas, even with doing this actually combining Hamas support.
The truth is to hide in sight of sight. The latest Israeli operations in Gaza – Gedon vehicles – overlap to increase and expand the military presence of Israel in all parts of Gaza while moving the population of the region in the south towards the Egyptian border. Now, the Israeli Minister of Defense said that the residents of the tape will be transferred to a “humanitarian city” with the expression of a broader “immigration plan”.
This is “today after a day” for Israel in Gaza. Regardless of the ceasefire agreements or signing them in the coming weeks or months, Netanyahu’s policies have already laid the basis for clarifying the forced residents of Ghazan.
