Ben’s Original recalls rice products over small stones contamination risk

Authorities are tracking four individuals and a fast food clown statue after the July 6 incident in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania.
Ben’s Original has issued a voluntary recall of several rice products sold across the United States due to the potential presence of small stones that could pose a risk of mouth or gastrointestinal injury if ingested.
The recall covers specific batches of “white long grain,” “brown whole grain,” and “long grain and wild rice” products with best-by dates of August 2026, according to a Tuesday announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The stones are described as “natural” and sourced from rice farms, as stated in the advertisement.

The FDA website has a complete list of recalled products.
This comes after a series of recent food recalls. Hillshire Brands Company recently announced it would recall approximately 58 million pounds of its corn dog and sausage-on-the-stick products after pieces of wood were found embedded in the mixture.
Grocery giant Kroger also recently issued a recall of two of its delicious pasta salads over concerns about possible listeria contamination.
