Bessent ‘not worried’ about long term market, assures there won’t be a ‘crisis’

Treasury Secretary Scott Beesen said on Sunday that he is not concerned about the American market in the long run, despite the decrease in stock last week amid President Donald Trump’s threats, and the Americans told that there would be “transfer”, not a “crisis.”

Bessent made notes while appearing on “Meet The Press” from NBC, saying that “one week does not emerge the market”, when asked whether the Americans whose retirement are invested should be worried about the market.

“We have this great deficit, 6.7 % of GDP,” said Pesin. “We haven’t seen this before when we are not in wartime, not in stagnation. We reject it in a responsible way. We will get a transition. We will not have a crisis.”

Pesin said that the stock market corrections are “healthy” and “normal”.

BESSENT indicated that if someone had put the brakes in ’06 -’07 “, this may be the prevention of problems that lead to a breakdown in 2008.

“So I am not worried about the markets,” he said. “In the long run, if we set a good tax in place, cancel organizational restrictions and energy security, the markets will work wonderfully.”
