Bessent says ‘all options on table’ for Russia sanctions after bombings

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessense Fox News told an exclusive interview that “all options are on the table” as the Trump administration weighs sanctions on Russia after president Vladimir Putin continued to bomb Ukraine despite recent talks on peace.

Pesin spoke to the great national correspondent Rich Edson in Martin Tavirin, Washington, DC, in response to a question about possible sanctions on Russia.

“I think everything is on the table,” said Pesin. “President Putin, since the historic meeting of Anchorage, since the phone call, when European leaders and President Zelinski at the White House on the next Monday have done the opposite of the follow -up on what he indicated that he wanted to do in reality, he has increased the bombing campaign.”

“So I think with President Trump, all the options on the table, and I think we will check that document this week,” Besin added.

In the weeks that followed a meeting with President Donald Trump in Ankarag, Alaska, in an attempt to apply for a peace agreement, Putin has not retired from attacking Ukraine.

On Thursday, Russia struck Ukraine with missiles and drones, killing at least 17 people and wounding 48 others in Kiev. Timor Takchinko, head of the city of Kiev, said among the dead between the ages of 2 and 17.

Experts told Fox News Digital last week that the attack could be Putin’s signaling diplomacy to buy more time to push his goals and continue to attack Ukraine, while avoiding the secondary sanctions that the Trump administration threatened.
