A group of Senate members of the two parties made a decision to cancel President Donald Trump’s global tariff, after the administration sparked a trade war with countries around the world.

“The customs tariff is taxes, and the tax authority belongs to congress – not the president,” Paul said in a statement. “Our founder was clear: the tax policy should never fall into the hands of one person. The abuse of emergency powers to impose a blanket tariff not only increases the costs of American families but also revolves around the constitution. It is time to reaffirm his authority and restore power balance.”

Paul was a strong critical of the definitions during his time in his position and continuously opposed the use of emergency ads to circumvent Congress.
