BougeRV’s portable solar fridge is quietly annoying

Keeping people alive at home in post -tweeting societies requires cooling. The meat bags in this step should be cooled with the ice in barbecue parties on the weekend or do the advanced thing and the use of 12V refrigerator instead.
Bougerv CRD2 extends $ 40 with $ 509.99 for CRD2 40 batteries, and has experienced it over the past few weeks for approximately 12 hours on the ITTY-Bitty battery. It is charged from the wall port or 12 -volt socket located in cars and portable power plants. It even accepts 100 watts of direct solar inputs to stay charged in sunny climates. And if this 40 -liter (43 -quarter) model is very small, it is also available with a capacity of 49 liters and 58 liters.
Bougerv gets the basics correctly, but with a lot of little inconvenience along the way.

Goodness
- The coolers and freezing independently
- Doors that can be vice versa
- Somewhat
- Control of distance
Bad
- inefficient
- A lot of annoying dodgers
- The strange behavior is low voltage
- The screen cannot be turned off at night
CRD2 40 is what you choose when off -transport is necessary. It can easily fit with a boat, RV, or the trunk or rear seat of the car and features a lot of tie points to keep the refrigerator 28.7 x 18.14 x 17.24in (730 x 461 x 438 mm) from becoming a 41.9 kg shell (19 kg). Once you arrive, it can be transferred with the help of the side handles loaded with a pulse, telescope and chunky wheels.
More importantly, two refrigeration cabins are covered – one large (32.5 liters) and one small (7.2 liters) – with a pair of doors that can be reflected for ease of opening from either side. This ability to adapt is great for Vanlifers or anyone else with limited space for such large devices.
Because it does not try to do much-unlike ECOFlow and Bluetti 3 ice-based refrigerators in 1- Bougerv’s editing and narrative unit increases to the maximum available length of food and beverages. Even the smaller CRD2 40 fits a lot; It is sufficient for me and my wife to stay away from the network comfortably for about a week when using the large cabin as a refrigerator and a small area of Kafarzer.

All my tests were conducted at the recommended FDA temperatures of -18 ° C (0 degrees Fahrenheit) for the freezer and 4C (39f) for the refrigerator. The slowdown from room temperature 22C (72f) to 4C took 17 minutes for the small cabin, or 37 minutes for the large. It took 79 minutes to bring the small space to -18 ° C and 101 minutes for the large side. This is very slow, but CRD2 40 is also reasonable.
At the top, I measured 38 decibels while slowing, making it loud like a small home theater show. This is much lower than Bougerv 45DB quotes on the specifications sheet (perhaps the largest CRD2 models are more noisy?) And more calm than the liberation and other narration refrigerators in this space. While there was a transverse hearing WhoOSH From the liquid, otherwise it was not emitted from any strange bones or scratch sounds that I heard from other mobile refrigerators. The compressor is turned on and turns off every 10 minutes or so with a light sample of death and then works for 10 minutes to maintain the temperature.
The full 173WH battery lasted 11.5 hours when operating in the most economical patterns, as long as the cabins are cooled to -18C/4C early. This operating time decreased to only six hours when the battery had to start at room temperature. This is not particularly effective, and it is possible that it has to do with the skipping bougerv on insulation.
To test my insulation, I brought the large cabin to -18C and closed the energy. After one hour, I already read -4C, 0C after an hour and a half, and 10C in three hours in a 22C room. I never opened the cover. This is not very good compared to other portable refrigerators and indicates that this refrigerator will have to work hard in warmer climate to keep your food safe.

The temperature readings were on the Bougerv screen and its application was consistent with the reference thermometer in the smaller cabin. However, my thermometer read -14C, not -18C that Bougerv has reported, when placed at the bottom of the large cabin. This is likely to be related to the mode of Bougerv sensor and the typical weak air cycle of this group of refrigerators.
Therefore, Bougerv gets all important things correctly, but I was disappointed that the company was not interested in details and the general lack of care.
For beginners, the Bluetooth application is called the limited simplification “L” and “R” (left and right?) Instead of “L” and “S” for the big and small, as you see printed on the refrigerator. It also lacks accuracy when reporting the battery percentage, which indicates five of five tapes, for example, when the LED screen displays only the same battery only two of four LED lights, or about 50 percent charged.
And get this: The instructions booklet warns of “due to the various production batches, you may receive a battery with or without a C.” What?! My review unit has arrived with a battery with a small barrel, not a preferred USB-C socket. This means that it can only be shipped inside the same refrigerator because I did not receive a coincided charger in the box. Oh, the brutally on the battery is upside down, making the insertion confusing. Come on.
Dadishly, solar charging requires a connector 5521 barrels, not the most common Jack XT60. I did not have the correct 100W solar panel to test with the refrigerator, but Bougerv will make you happy with a package that includes a compatible panel for $ 663.99.
More worry is the strange behavior that I noticed when the battery was almost completely emptied. In the last hour or so before the battery death, the freezer temperature decreased to less than the 18C temperature that it identified. I read -22C on the physical screen, but my thermometer has decreased along the way to -29C. Initially, I thought it might be another condition for a bad sensor like those with which some ancient Ecoflow refrigerators were afflicted. But connecting the refrigerator again caused the temperature to decrease quickly to -18 ° C, and I have not seen any problems since then. strange. Bougerv did not have a timely ready explanation for this review. The refrigerator is covered with a two -year guarantee.
Sleeping near Bougerv’s refrigerator – as with Vanlifers and drunk fishermen – is also a mixed bag. On the one hand, it is reasonably calm. However, it will make a sound several times if the Bluetooth connection is lost. This has already woke me twice, although my phone is near the refrigerator. Also screen very Bright in a dark room and there is no way to reduce or turn off.

Even with all my handles, Bougerv worth $ 509.99 CRD2 40 with a battery package makes a good travel companion, especially in the very mobile size (43 quarter) that I reviewed. However, I will avoid the battery -free model at $ 349.99 because you can easily find a more compact and less expensive refrigerator that can be permanently connected to a 12 -volt power source in a fixed location. You can buy CRD2 40 because you are looking for an adventure, and perhaps just a taste of self -divine.
