Trump fires top US copyright official Shira Perlmutter

The administration of President Donald Trump launched the official of the United States’ Supreme Publishing and Publishing Rights, a few days after the Secretary of the congress Library.
Shira Perlmter was responsible for the Copyright Office in the United States, which was supervised by the Congress Library, until it was suddenly expelled on Saturday.
The US News Digital Publishing Office told the USAPOX Digital that Perlmter received an email from the White House, saying: “Your position has been terminated as a record of copyright and manager at the US Publishing Rights Office immediately.”
Trump launched the Secretary of Congress Carla Hayden, who was the first woman and the first African American woman and a library in Congress on Thursday. The completion was part of the continuous management of government officials who are seen as opposing Trump and his agenda.

The White House did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital requests to comment on the matter.
Heiden Perlmter took advantage of the leadership of the Publishing Rights Office in October 2020.
Like Perlmuter, Hayden was notified of a shooting email, according to Associated Press.

“Carla”, email from the White House presidential staff office started. “On behalf of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as a Congress library has been in effect immediately. Thank you for your service.”
Perlmter recently released a report that studies whether artificial intelligence companies can use copyright “to train” their AI systems.

The report followed a review that started in 2023 with opinions of thousands of individuals, including artificial intelligence developers, actors and country singers.
The Publishing Rights Office clarified its approach in January, as one depends on the “centrality of human creativity” in authorship of a work that calls for the protection of copyright. The copyright office takes about half a million copyright requests every year, covering millions of creative works.
“This creativity is expressed through the use of artificial intelligence systems, it continues to enjoy protection,” Permter said in January. “Expanding the scope of protection to materials whose expressive elements are determined by a machine … will undermine the constitutional goals of copyrights instead of strengthening them.”
