Brighton boss on United links
Brighton coach Fabian Horzler has sent a clear message to Carlos Paleba amid persistent transfer rumors linking him with Manchester United.
The Cameroon international has impressed during his time in the Premier League, and it is no surprise to see a lot of talk about a possible move to a bigger club.
Fabrizio Romano spoke on his YouTube channel about Baleba being one to watch after Manchester United first looked at signing him in the just ended summer transfer window.
Horzler has now addressed the speculation, but has simply called on Paleba to show that he is capable of taking the next step in his career by handling this situation in the best way possible, by simply remaining focused on doing his best for Brighton rather than getting distracted by things he cannot control…
“This is the next step to overcome these rumours”?

“I think this is the next step for him as a person, as a personality, to overcome these rumours,” the Seagulls boss said.
“At the end of the day, it’s just noise… and for his career in general, he just has to focus on the things he can influence.
“He can’t influence the rumours, he can’t influence the hype. He can only influence the things he does on the pitch.”
What’s next for Manchester United transfer target Carlos Paleba?
Palipa is certainly good enough to play at a bigger club, and United could really do with a midfielder of his profile right now.
The 21-year-old looks like an ideal long-term replacement for someone like the aging Casemiro, while he would certainly be an upgrade on the unconvincing Manuel Ugarte.
However, Horzler is right that Paleba will have to keep performing at Brighton no matter what, because ultimately what happens next is up to him.
Unless Paleba really drops tools to try and force a move, Brighton will almost certainly only sell if they feel it is the best decision for them, and it will likely require big money to convince them.
United will not come in with that kind of money if Paleba allows himself to become distracted and suffer a slump in form.
