The facilities are great there, and they have made me aware of the discipline and things I need to play cricket at a higher level.”

He added: “I am 27 years old, and I come from a humble family background, and my father’s hard work as a laborer over the years has paid off. My friends have also been a great source of support. Some of them have helped me financially and emotionally through all the tough times, whenever I faced problems and self-doubt. They all trusted me. I would like to thank my family, coaches and friends for all of this. I have never had as much confidence in myself as they all did.”
Brijesh’s father agrees with his choice
Brijesh’s father, Kapoor Chand Sharma, said their hard work had finally paid off. “We are happy. His hard work has paid off. I hope everyone works hard and gets rewards like this. We receive calls from our relatives congratulating us. He was interested in sports since he was a child and was often beaten for not going to school and showing interest in studies. But slowly, and thank God, everything is going well. We should encourage our children to pursue their field of interest,” he said.
