Announcing Google DeepMind – Google DeepMind

Earlier today, we announced some of the changes that will accelerate our progress in artificial intelligence and help us develop artificial intelligence systems more capable and responsibly. Below is a summary of the CEO of DeepMind Demis Hassabis with employees:

When we launched Deepmind in 2010, many people believed that the general of Amnesty International was a long -term scientific fictional technique that was far from being a reality.

Now, we live at a time when artificial intelligence research and technology is progressing significantly. In the coming years, artificial intelligence – AGI – has the possibility of leading one of the greatest social, economic and scientific transformations in history.

For this reason, Sundar announces today that DeepMind and the Google Research team will join the forces as one concentrated unit called Google DeepMind. The combination of our talents and our efforts will accelerate our progress towards a world in which artificial intelligence helps solve the biggest challenges facing humanity, and I am very excited to lead this unity and work with you all to build it. Together, in close cooperation with our wonderful colleagues in the fields of Google products, we have a real opportunity to present Amnesty International’s research and products that greatly improve the lives of billions, manufacture industries, advanced sciences, and serve various societies.

By creating Google DeepMind, I think we can reach this future faster. The construction of Amnesty International requires more capable and public, safely and responsible, some of the most difficult scientific and engineering challenges of our time. Therefore, we need to work more quickly, cooperate and stronger implementation, and simplify the way we make decisions to focus on achieving the greatest impact.

Through Google DeepMind, we collect our global -level talents in artificial intelligence with computing power, infrastructure and resources to create the next generation of artificial intelligence penetrations and products via Google and Alphabet, and do so in a bold and responsible way. Research provided by the enormous brain and race teams is progressing in a large group of the foundations of the current artificial intelligence industry, from learning deep reinforcement to transformers, and the work that we will now do as part of this new common unit will create the next wave of changing breakthroughs of the world.

It has built a great partnership because we have worked to coordinate our efforts in recent months. I am looking to work closely with ELI Collins, which will join my Leads team as the product deputy, and Zoubin Ghhhramani who will join the research leadership team to submit reports to Koray Kavukcuoglu. We also create a new Google DeepMind to oversee research progress and unit direction, which will be led by KORAY and will have representatives from all over ORGS. Jeff, Korai, Zuben, Shin and I will end the composition of this council together in the coming days.

I am sure you have a lot of questions about the shape of this new unit for you and your teams and all of us, and we will work hard to provide clarity to everyone as soon as possible. Please read the Sundar Memorandum, and seize the City Council meeting tomorrow.
