California sues Trump administration over $4 billion high-speed rail funding cut

The “Big Money Show” committee discusses President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the high -speed railway project in California, 16 years after not placing one path.
California Governor Gavin News has announced a lawsuit against the Trump administration after canceling more than $ 4 billion of federal funds for the state’s high -speed rail project.
“Trump ends with the high -speed railway winds in California. It is another political trick to punish California.”
“In fact, this is just a heart attack on the central valley that will put real functions and livelihoods on the line. We are succumbing to prevent Trump from the only high -speed railway in America actively,” the ruler continued.
The lawsuit claims that the end was driven by “simple political revenge” instead of objective concerns, as it targeted California because of President Donald Trump’s hostility towards the state.

While the lawsuit was characterized by the decision as “trivial political heels”, Minister of Transport, Sean Duffy, justified the end of $ 4 billion of federal funding uninterrupted by the FBA, pointing to 16 years of failure, and the high -speed track and escalating costs have not been completed.
Dofi announced the project, which was called “BoondogGle”.
“This is a mistake in California. The Governor has enabled the government and the democratic democrats of these waste for years. The federal dollar is not an empty check – they come with a promise to make results,” Duffy said in a statement.

This announcement came after months of scrutiny after a comprehensive review of compliance, in addition to failed attempts by the California Railways (CHSRA) to address serious palaces in the project.
Examining the 300 -page report, which was released in June, the project, found delays, lost final dates, mismanagement, waste, high costs, budget lack, and excessive representation of the expected passengers.
Other main results have revealed that the project that faces continuous costs-and is likely to be increasing-due to the delay and that CHSRA failed to finish the touches on contracts for its high-speed trains on time.
The review found that zero miles of the high -speed route has been placed since the Earth was broken 10 years ago, and the cost continues in the balloon.
Trump, echoing Duffy’s feelings, also referred to the project as “Boondogge”.
“With regard to the committed law, tax payment, and diligent citizens in the United States of America, I am pleased to announce that I officially liberated you from the financing of a high -speed train in California.”

“This BoondogGle, led by California Governor, has cost the Gavin Newscum, for taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, and we did not receive anything in return except for cost excesses. The railway that we promised still does not exist, and we will not do it,” Trump continued.
“This project was very exaggerated, an excessive system, and it was never delivered. Thanks to the Minister of Transport, Sean Duffy, one Pence will not go with the federal dollar to this fraud in the newspapers again. This was a painful and unnecessary project, and a total waste of taxpayer funds-but no more!”
Newsom retreated to Trump’s criticism, on the pretext that his administration has illegally ended the high -speed railway fund.
Newsom varied with California with other states, saying that the Golden State project was ahead of others.
“Trump wants to deliver China in the future and give up the central valley. We will not allow it. With projects like high -speed railway in Texas failing to take off, we are miles away from others,” wrote newsoms.

“We are now in the stage of placing the path and the construction of high -speed railways in America. California puts all options on the table to fight this illegal procedure.”
In addition to canceling 4 billion dollars of federal funds that are not transferred to CHSRA, Duffy Fra was directed to review other binding and non -compressed grants related to the CHSRA project.
