Pope Francis, still recovering from pneumonia, meets with Vice President JD Vance on Easter Sunday

The Apostolic Newspaper Office confirmed that Pope Francis and Vice president GD Verse met shortly on Easter on Sunday in the Casa Santa Marta.

“I know you did not feel comfortable, but it is a good idea to see you in better health,” Vans told the Pope in a video clip shared by the media in the Vatican. “Thanks for my vision.”

Francis, 88, who is still recovering from a seizure of near pneumonia, has received Vans in a reception room at the Vatican Hotel where he lives. The ink of the Catholic Vice President offered three major chocolate eggs for the three young Fans, who did not attend, as well as the Vatican neck and swimming pools.

The Vanguel procession was on the Latikan lands for 17 minutes, according to the Associated Press.

Francis and Fans faded sharply on immigration and Trump administration plans to collectively deport immigrants.

“A friendly conversation has occurred,” a media statement said. “During which the joint commitment was renewed to protect the right to religious freedom and freedom of conscience.”

“There was also an exchange of opinions on the international situation, especially with regard to countries affected by war, political tensions and difficult humanitarian positions, with special attention to immigrants, refugees and others in prison,” he said.

On Saturday, Vans met with the Vatican Foreign Minister, Cardinal Petro Barolin, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Archbishop Paul Gallagher.
