CDC director axed by Trump administration refuses to step down

The government world has long refused Susan Monarerez, leaving her platform as director of diseases and prevention control centers (CDC) after the Ministry of Health and Humanitarian Services (HHS) announced that it was removed from the role less than a month after it evaluated.

Lawyers Mark Zaid and App Luel said they represent Monares and claimed that she “has not resigned and has not yet been launched.”

Lawyers issued a statement on social media, claiming that HHS and Minister Robert F. Kennedy Junior is organizing general health weapons to achieve political gains and endangering millions of American lives.

The statement said: “When Susan Monarerez, director of the Center for Disease Control, Susan Monares, refused to manage non -scientific directives and healthy fire experts, she chose to protect the public to provide a political agenda,” the statement said. “Therefore, she was targeted. Dr. Monares did not resign and did not receive a notice from the White House that she had been expelled, as a person of integrity and dedication to science, she will not resign.”

The Washington Post reported that the sources inside the Center for Disease Control, which spoke on the condition of anonymity, that HHS leaders, including Kennedy, sought to obtain Monares to commit to canceling the approvals of some Covid-19 vaccines. When Monares did not commit immediately, administration officials told her that she should resign or be expelled.

The sources also claimed that they then tried to involve the Chairman of the Senate Health Committee, Senator Bill Cassidy, R-La. According to what Kennedy was angry with this step.

When it was reached for the comment, a HHS spokesman directed Fox News Digital to the joint agency’s response at the official X account.

The White House confirmed to Fox News Digital that Monares has been removed.

“Since her lawyer’s statement clearly explains, Susan Monarerez is not in line with the president’s agenda to make America healthy again,” White House spokesman Kush Disi said in a statement. “Since Susan Monarerez refused to resign despite informing HHS about her intention to do so, the White House has finished Monares from her position with the Center for Disease Control.”

Monares was exploited by the Trump administration to lead the Center for Disease Control after its first candidate, Dave Wildon, withdrew from the dispute in March amid fears that he may not get enough support in the Senate. Soon after Weldon stepped down, Monarez was officially nominated to be the permanent director of the Center for Disease Control and eventually confirmed in the last week of July.

During the Monares confirmation session, she expressed support for vaccines and told legislators that she “did not witness a causal link between vaccines and autism.”

The medical group contradicts the Center for Disease Control

Before the Senate confirmed in Monares, CDC managers did not usually need the approval of the Senate, but that changed in 2022 when Congress approved a law, making it necessary. Monares was the first director of the Senate Disease Control Center in the agency’s history.

Monarerez was also the first director of the Disease Control Center without a medical certificate in more than seven decades. However, it holds a doctorate in microbiology and immunity.

After obtaining a doctorate, Monares entered the federal government, where she found herself in roles in the White House Science and Technology Office policy, the National Security Council, the Ministry of Internal Security, and the ARPA-H. Her biography on the site of the Disease Control Center says that she has worked on “the efforts to enhance the country’s biomedical innovation capabilities, including anti -microbial resistance, expanding the use of wearable devices to enhance the patient’s health, ensure the privacy of personal health data, and improve preparedness for the Wahpand.”

Hours after news that Monares no longer heads the Center for Disease Control, the sources confirmed to Fox News Digital that three senior officials of the Disease Control Center at least submitted their resignations, including the director of its national immunization and respiratory diseases, Demetre Dasalakis; Director of the National Centers for Emerging and Organized Infectious Diseases, Dr. Daniel Genenegan; And the chief medical official at the Disease Control Center, Dibra Hori.

Daskalakis published a lengthy resignation letter on X, citing various reasons for his departure, including “opinions” of Minister Kennedy and his employees.
