The murder of Charlie Kirk continues to affect many Americans and others around the world.
Speaking recently on Nothing Was Said, New York Times bestselling author Jack Carr — a devoted father of three — said that the assassination of Charlie Kirk prompted him and his family to slow down and return to their roots.
“I think we were affected by the assassination of Charlie Kirk as were a lot of people,” Carr said.

Because Kirk’s killing was shown online in real time, “my kids saw it before I could get to them,” he said. “It has also led to reconsideration, not only for a lot of people, but for us as a family as well.”
He continued, “So we’re going to make some changes because of this. We’ve been very busy with life.”
“The broader message [of Charlie Kirk] It is faith and family.”
“When our middle child was born, we stopped going to church, because it was difficult to take him there with his special needs. So it was difficult,” Carr said.
He added, “Family dinner was difficult.” “You have to take care of someone with special needs, and the other kids finish dinner in five seconds… and you’re still trying to, you know, basically function… and love [all three] Kids are the same.”

He said Kirk’s impact on people was and will continue to be “huge.”
