CBP closes all temporary migrant facilities as border apprehensions plummet

The American Customs Protection and Borders of Fox News Digital confirmed that it no longer runs any “soft” facilities, after the migrant treatment center was closed near San Diego in March.

The Biden Administration has used facilities to treat immigrants who entered the country illegally in multiple locations in California, Tixas and Arizona, amid increasing millions crossing the border.

“Because of the unprecedented decline in illegal foreigners’ concerns as a result of the recent executive procedures of the president, CBP does not run any temporary and soft processing facilities as illegal foreigners have been kept in specific locations along the southwestern border.

Fear of the southern border decreases more than 90 % from last year in April, says CBP

The spokesman said: “The United States’ border patrol has a complete ability to manage the detention of foreigners in the permanent USBP facilities. The workforce and other resources allocated to temporary treatment facilities will be redirected to other priorities and will accelerate CBP progress in obtaining operational control on the southwestern border,” the spokesman said.

On March 13, CBP said they were closing three Texas and two Arizona facilities, but California and one of Texas are still open.

In March, Fox News Digital stated that CBP closed the OTAY MESA facility launched in January 2023 with the outbreak of the border crisis.

The San Diego Patrol sector in the United States posted a video to X on Sunday showing that the soft sector facility has been stopped.

“The world listened to President Trump’s message and Amin Nayyem. America’s borders are closed to the stations of law,” has published internal security in response to the clip.
