Check Point Stock: Check Point Earnings, Billings Top Estimates

Checkpoint software techniques CHKP on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings, revenue and billings that beat Wall Street estimates. Check Point stock has been in the news.

The cybersecurity company announced its earnings before the market opened. Check Point’s earnings in the September quarter rose 75% to $3.94 per share on an adjusted basis. Including acquisitions, revenue rose 7% to $678 million.

Analysts expected Check Point’s earnings to reach $2.45 per share on sales of $673 million.

The cybersecurity company said billings, a measure of sales growth, rose 20% to $672 million, compared to expectations of $608 million.

In the current December quarter, analysts expect EPS of $2.88 on revenue of $741 million. Check Point typically provides guidance on its earnings call with analysts.

On the stock market today, Check Point stock rose 10% to close to 211 in early trading. Heading into Check Point’s earnings report, CHKP stock is up 4% in 2025. Shares are set to reclaim their 50-day moving average and possibly their 200-day line.

Check Point competes in the firewall vs. firewall network security market Palo Alto Networks (Bano), Fortnite (FTNT) and others. Firewalls block online intrusions and monitor web-based applications. Fortinet reports earnings on November 5.

Meanwhile, the Palo Alto company is planning an acquisition CyberArk program (CYBR) in a $25 billion deal.

Check Point and several other cybersecurity companies are focusing on a new growth market: the Secure Access Service Edge. SASE provides a fast and cost-effective way to secure an organization’s branch offices and remote workers.

CHKP stock carries a composite rating of 64 out of a top 99, according to IBD Stock Screener.

Additionally, CHKP stock carries an Accumulation/Distribution rating of C-plus. The rating analyzes price and volume changes in a stock over the past 13 weeks of trading. A+ indicates heavy institutional buying; E means heavy selling. Think of C as neutral.

The Computer Software-Security group ranks No. 90 out of 197 industry groups tracked by IBD. But some cybersecurity stocks, e.g CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) and Zscaler (ZS) Outperforms the Software Sector in 2025.
