On Friday, a federal judge ordered that the anti -Israel activist Mahmoud Khalil be released on bail while his immigration and civil issues are progressing through the courts, citing the “exceptional circumstances” of his case.

Judge Michael Farbarars, one of the appoinals, Biden, evaluated during a hearing in New Jersey that Khalil was not a flight risk or danger to society and that his detention was “very unusual.”

Khalil’s lawyers said in a letter to the court that his imprisonment at the Migration Center in Gina, Louisiana, was a “very rare” decision by the government and is due to the unconstitutional revenge.

Khalil, a permanent legal resident, was arrested in March outside his apartment at the University of Colombia and immediately filed a lawsuit against his detention. The court was released on bail or transferred to a immigration facility in New Jersey, where he will be closer to his family and his legal team.

The Ministry of Justice seeks to preserve the anti -Israel activist Khalil in Louisiana Migration Prison

The immigration judge found that Khalil was a removal based on a memorandum from Foreign Minister Marco Rubio that Khalil’s activity on the campus was at odds with the interests of American foreign policy.

Rubio was killed by a mysterious judgment of the Immigration and Nationality law to justify his discovery, and later commanded the secretary to use this design.

However, the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) later added another reason to keep Khalil to be held and try to deport him. The Ministry of National Security said that Khalil had deleted the main information from requesting the green card about the groups that were affiliated with it, including stripping the apartheid at Columbia University.

Khalil’s case has become a shocking penis for anti -Israel demonstrators and immigration rights advocates. They have argued that the Trump administration is divided against it because of its opposition to the Israeli government and freedom to express freedom of expression for those who oppose the Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip and the conflict with Iran. The government replied that Khalil violated the Immigration Law by referring to the support of the terrorist group Hamas through his activity.

The lawyers of the Ministry of Justice (doj) argued that the judge had not had the authority to liberate Khalil from detention because the second claim, about the green card papers, was suspended before the immigration judge.

Lawyers wrote in the court papers this week: “Khalil is still being held because he is currently being accused of being removable for fraud or intentionally material facts about amending the situation request,” Lawyers wrote in the court papers this week.
