Chinese claimed behind closed doors, PRC played role in US cyberattacks: Report

Chinese officials admitted behind the closed doors at the December meeting that their government was responsible for a series of e -infrastructure attacks, according to the Wall Street Journal report based on information from people familiar with the matter.

The news comes at a time when the two countries continue to introduce the customs tariff imposed by president Donald Trump and were deported and raised by President Xi Jinping.

In one exclusive, the Wall Street Journal reported that those who spoke, provided that their identity was not disclosed, claimed that Chinese officials linked electronic attacks on American ports, airports, facilities, and other important targets to support America for Taiwan.

The report indicated that Biden Administration officials learned of discovery directly during a summit in Geneva, where their Chinese counterparts blamed the campaign, referred to as Volt Typhoon, in a criminal organization.

Chinese officials also accused the United States of reference to the blame in China based on their imagination.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman told Fox News Digital, who made the Foreign Ministry explained to Beijing that the United States will continue to take measures in response to the Chinese cyberspace targeting the United States

“Chinese electronic threats are some of the most stable and stable threats to American national security,” the spokesman said. “The United States will continue to use all tools at its disposal to protect critical infrastructure in the United States from irresponsible electronic attacks and talent from Beijing. President Trump is committed to protecting the American people and the decisive infrastructure from these threats.”

The Chinese embassy told the Fox Business News that China is “strongly” opposed to “staining” attacks against it without any realistic basis.

“The electronic space is characterized by a strong phenomenon, difficulty in tracking assets, and various actors, which makes tracking electronic attacks a complex technical issue,” said the embassy spokesman. “We hope that the relevant parties will adopt a professional and responsible position when describing electronic accidents, and based on their conclusions on sufficient evidence rather than the baseless speculation and accusations.

He added: “The United States needs to stop using cybersecurity to distort and distort China, and stop publishing all kinds of misleading information about the alleged Chinese piracy threats.”

The Biden Administration has warned the state leaders in March 2024 that electronic attacks by the infiltrators associated with Iran can undermine water systems throughout the United States if cybersecurity measures are not reserved.

Then said the director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Michael S. Reagan and Jake Sullivan, Biden Assistant for National Security Affairs, in an e -mail to the state rulers that electronic attacks were targeting water and water systems issued throughout the United States throughout the United States

In the letter, two Biden administration officials said that the attacks can disrupt clean and safe drinking water and impose great costs on affected societies.

While one of the attacks was linked to Iran, the other threat came from the group of infiltrators in the Republic of China (PRC), Volt Televon, which was at risk of information technology to critical infrastructure systems, including drinking water facilities in the United States and its territories.

When US officials issued warnings about Volt Typhoon’s efforts, they also accused the People’s Republic of China of trying to enter American computer networks in an attempt to launch electronic attacks during any unexpected conflicts in the future.

The FBI said in December that the infiltrators in Beijing infiltrated the networks of “multiple telecommunications” and access to customer calls and communications for “a limited number of individuals.” But the goals, as the FBI indicated in December, the Americans were involved in government and politics.

A federal investigation revealed a huge campaign of cybersecurity by the Chinese government, which targets American telecommunications networks to steal Americans. A White House official confirmed in December that at least eight American communications companies were affected by the expansion of piracy.
