Chinese marketplace DHgate becomes a top US app as trade war intensifies

Trump’s commercial war has become viral on Tijook, as it pushed an application for Chinese e -commerce, DHGATE, to the top Apple App Store in the United States

After Trump increased the American customs tariffs on Chinese imports by 145 %, many Chinese suppliers and manufacturers began making Tiktok videos explaining to consumers how the global luxury goods market works. These videos made in Europe from factories in China, and these videos showed that these videos assumed by many people assumed that many people who assumed that many people who assumed that many people who assumed that many people who assumed in Europe were from factories in China.

As a result of this trend, the Chinese Marketplace application in wholesale dhgate has risen to become the best iPhone number 3 in the Apple App Store in the United States as of Monday morning.

For comparison, application No. 352 was classified in the category of best free iPhone applications that are not full of games in the United States from Friday, April 11, before jumping to No. 6 on Sunday and No. 3 on Monday, according to App Intelligence Appigurs. On Monday, DHGATE also rose to No. 3 on the higher chart of free iPhone applications, including games.

The Techcrunch company tells that on Saturday, April 12, the DHGATE 35400 app has been downloaded through the application store and Google Play, 56 % over average for 30 days. The United States formed 17300 of these fixtures, which is a 98 % jump from an average of 30 days.

On Sunday, April 13, these installations increased to 117,500 on iOS, an increase of 732 % of an average of 30 days. The United States formed 65,100 of these downloads, an increase of 940 %. (Android Download Sunday data is not yet available.)

DHGATE is a cross -border e -commerce company, linking both companies and consumers to suppliers and manufacturers in China and other markets. Today, it offers a stock of more than 30 million products across categories such as electronics, home, games, shoes, clothing, jewelry, health and beauty, and more, its website shows its website.

The demand for the application grew from the aforementioned viral direction online as Chinese manufacturers began to reveal their secrets to the American public. After this trend, creators began to tell their viewers that the DHGATE app is a source of purchase of luxury goods before adding the brand to the product.

In a famous video clip Tiktok, a Chinese manufacturer claims that the majority of luxury bags in the world are manufactured in China, but the bags are then sent to the brand factories in Europe, where the brand is added and the bag is refunded. In this way, bags appear as if they were “made in Italy” or “made in France”, as the video creator claims.

In another video, @Senbags2 says himself, that the Birkin bag worth $ 38,000 is made of about $ 1,400, and that consumers are paying for the wonderful logo and packaging. (The Creator’s Tiktok account has been performed, but there are still many stitches and Reuploads.)

Videos from other Chinese creators focused on luxury categories such as clothes and jewelry. Trademarks such as Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and others were mentioned in videos, as well as medium -range brands such as LululeMon, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Hugo Boss.

The aim of the videos is to emphasize that the United States depends on China more than it might realize, as the brands that American consumers believed were sophisticated European products that were manufactured in the country. Not all fast costumes and cheap electronics like those in Shein or Tiktok store.

This is not news for anyone who understands the global supply chain, but videos pushed Tiktok users to search for a way to buy directly from goods in China, which prompted them to DHGATE and other applications connected to the Chinese market. A similar application, Taobao, has become a free iPhone number 10 total on Monday.

In fact, it may be difficult for consumers to know the factories with which luxury brands contract with only copies, also known as deception. However, online societies such as R/DHGATE on Reddit can sometimes help in that front.

The use of DGATE is not really a solution to avoid Trump’s tariff, as any Chinese imports of the United States will remain affected by definitions outside some exceptions in electronics – at the present time. But as a commentator pointed out, these trends are the result of the United States that claims to carry all cards in the trade war, which prompted China to respond, “We make all cards.”
