Why CBS Canceled FBI: International & Most Wanted

Dick Wolf “FBI” procedural drama has spread the franchise wings widely since its presentation for the first time in 2018. However, recent developments indicate that the show has made great stumbling blocks in his attempt to reach the sky on its way to the past entertainment stories such as “law & Order” and “Chicago One”.

For a while, the rapid expansion tactic chosen by the ambitious “FBI” privilege that he chose very well. At the present time, however, things seem somewhat dark for the pair of offers. But what exactly caused CBS to cancel two “FBI” shows in one blow? As you may doubt, the answer is: It is a strict work.

So, why is CBS only pulling the plug on two “FBI” symptoms, especially since the parent’s offer is somewhat reliable? As of January 2025, the FBI was drawing about 10.5 million pairs of eyes in each episode, and all platforms combined. The two offers were not all of this, with an average of 8.5 million of the “most required” and 8.4 million for “international”.

There are many reasons that make procedural that seems to be certain that the procedural can be canceled. Certainly, Dick Wolf knows this very well: chaos from behind the scenes indicates the end of “law and order” from NBC, after only one season, and the network itself canceled “Chicago justice” after one season in 2017 because the exhibition could not distinguish between the privilege of “law and order”.

If the FBI was offered, it was likely that the conditions surrounding the offers were likely to be. Since the entire concession so far is produced by the Universal Television, CBS has chosen well to cancel the occasional residence to avoid increasingly expensive renewal negotiations with the studio. On the other hand, the network has an incentive to maintain the FBI itself in this mix, because the original exhibition is successful in itself and the beginning of the privileged privilege. For this reason, CBS seems to simply simplify things by cutting two preserved branches (and therefore expensive) and making room for a new cross: “FBI: CIA”, which was appointed to take one of the places of canceled offers in the time lights.
