Cloudflare Acquires Outerbase to Expand Capabilities for Database and Agent Developer Experience

Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: Net), Connectivity Cloud Company, today about the acquisition of OUTERBASE, a developer database company, to enhance the database of developers database through Cloudflare workers. Through this acquisition, creating applications supported by the database will be more friendly-which allows more teams to create and publish full applications that support artificial intelligence on the global Cloudflare network.
Databases are the key to building any modern application. With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence agents and AI, more programs will be built over the next five years than in the past twenties. Almost all of these applications will need a database to maintain context, storage conversations, and work on data. Ensure that databases can be built and managed quickly, easily, and on a large scale by developers from all backgrounds will help more developers build these applications on
“Companies are racing to be fruitful, innovative and competitive as possible. Our goal is to make them easy and available to any developer, regardless of experience, to create applications supported by a database that can expand,” said Matthew Princess, co -founder and CEO of Cloudflare. “Technology and design experience are an important factor in accelerating this improved developer experience.”
OUTERBASE itself depends on facilitating the integration of technology quickly directly into solid objects, D1 and Cloudflare SDK to provide easy facades and frameworks to interact with data and create applications based on the database. With this acquisition, Cloudflare aims to add a democratic character to access data and make it easy for the team to manage databases without a wide range
“In OUTERBASE, our mission has always been making work with data easier for developers. Joining Cloudflare allows us to continue to do this, but much faster and much more,” said Brandon Strsmatter, co -founder and executive director of OUTERBASE. “We have built an external base on the head of Cloudflare, so this next step looks normal. Now, we can take what we have built and make it part of the platform itself. I am very excited for this opportunity – not only because of what the team means, but how as part of the Cloudflare, we will form the way of building people on the tools of developers and AI applications.”
