Collymore backs Liverpool to win Carabao Cup – but final can be free hit for Newcastle

Next Sunday, Liverpool and Newcastle United will compete with the Carabau Cup final in Wembley. The Premier League leaders are great favorites to win, especially after the events of the past few days.
At the end of last week, Anthony Gordon incurred a comment from three games after being sent off against Brighton in the FA Cup, and this means that he could not play. Moreover, the problems of infection for defenders Louis Hall and Suffolon Potman means that they are also not available.
Stan Colimore, speaking in his exclusive column to Kotovside, believes that Liverpool is firmly flying to win in Wembley, but Newcastle may cause problems if they play without fear.
“I think Liverpool will be more relaxed than Newcastle in the Carabau Cup final because it is not his priority. They are not under pressure to win because they focus more on the Premier League and the Champions League, and for this reason, they can approach the usual match, giving them a better opportunity to repeat their best forms.
“Anthony Gordon’s comment represents a big problem for Newcastle. You have searched to see him in Wembley, where he can take advantage of the open spaces on the field, especially since the anti -attack is likely to be the Eddie Hao game.
“The Confucian argument for Newcastle is now that everyone believes that they have already lost, so there is less pressure on them. As a result, they can come with great performance because they are not afraid of losing, and expecting that they will lose can release their ambition to cause disturbance.
“I think Liverpool will win – not only because Newcastle has lost Gordon and also Luis Hall and Suffon Potman for injury, but also mentally, there may be some Newcastle players who feel extra pressure because of their dryness in the cup. Liverpool will be more relaxed because the Carabau Cup is not his priority, and their players will be able to perform as usual.
“I think this will be a 2-0 victory or 3-1 for Liverpool.”
