In an attempt to secure the Comey’s indictment, the prosecutors have a short window – and a difficult issue to be presented

This announcement sparked a reaction faster than the president and his allies.

President Donald Trump has long demanded the trial of Kumei since its launch in 2017 and overcome the investigation of Russia.

Trump celebrated the news with a victorious participation on his social account.

“Justice in America! One of the worst human beings that this country offered is James Kumi, the former president of the Federal Investigation Office. It was accused today by a major jury on two felony charges of various illegal and illegal acts. The President wrote.

The Public Prosecutor Pam Bondi also issued a sharp statement of X declaring, “No one is above the law. The American people deserve justice after years of lies and political intervention.”

The FBI director, Cash Patel, amplified this opinion and threw the indictment as part of a wider effort to restore confidence in the office.

“Today, the FBI took another step in his promise to fully accountability,” he wrote.

“For a very long time, the implementation of the federal law with the corrupt leadership weapon, the institutions that were destroying one day, and eroding the confidence of the public. Under my leadership, the FBI will face this problem face to face. No one is above the law.”

American senator John Corn referred to the seriousness of Kome’s crimes.

“While our legal system provides for the assumption of innocence, Komei’s accountability for violations of the FBI during the first Trump period was late,” he said. “These accusations are serious crimes, especially if the head of the Supreme Law Enforcement Agency in our nation committed them, and there must be consequences for any crimes.”

The Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, described it as “a long -awaited correction for years of corruption and cover -up,” while economic adviser Peter Navarro said that “justice has proven that justice did not deny justice.”

Democrats have condemned the charges as political motives.

Senator Tim Kane (D-VA) denounced what he called “malicious prosecution”, to remind reporters that Trump had previously launched the public prosecutor who refused to bring “trivial charges.”

Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), Vice-Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, issued a more clear reprimand.

“This type of intervention is a serious abuse of power.” “By overthrowing a respectable and independent public prosecutor and replacing him with a partisan photographer, Trump undermines one of the most important offices of American lawyers in the country and erodes the rule of law itself.”
