Commerce’s Howard Lutnick says Trump will bring manufacturing back to America

Trade Minister Howard Lootnick at “Fox News Sunday” said that president Donald Trump is benefiting from the power of the American economy to open China to American exporters, as Washington and Beijing are working towards a possible business deal.

When asked about the impact of ripples that Trump’s tariff on pavement workers, truck transport industry, etc., asked them to remember that “this is just a problem in China at the present time.”

Lutnick pointed out that Trump’s 145 % induction was placed on Chinese imports and China’s 125 % interest in US imports in revenge.

Lootnick added that Treasury Secretary Scott Besin, who leads commercial negotiations with China, was in Geneva, Switzerland, during the weekend to speak with his Chinese counterparts about definitions and trade.

Trump posted on social media on Saturday that he was “great progress” that was made in the United States Chinese talks.

Lootnick also said that Trump focuses on re -manufacturing to America, adding that those who make their products in America will not have to pay customs duties.

“If you want to build abroad, well, you will pay a tariff and will be less competitive in America, so build here,” he said.

The Minister of Commerce said that the commercial deals that the Trump administration is working on with other large economy countries, such as the United Kingdom, will also allow more manufacturers of the United States to export to those countries.

He said: “And our idea is, can the Americans be able to export to those countries, and the cultivation of America, right? Watch breeders, producers, vegetables, machines, ethanol, things like this, selling to that country, reducing the rate of customs tariffs, and then re -manufacturing to America.”
