Cuomo dominates NYC mayor polls despite campaign finance setbacks

It seems that former New York Governor Andrew Como is on his way to become the democratic candidate for the mayor of New York City.

Como currently holds a double progress on the candidate for the second place, Zahran Mamdani, in a survey from the Marist College that Politico obtained. In the first round of the option vote in the rank, the former ruler has 44 % compared to 22 % of Mamdani, the forefront that seems to hold throughout all six rounds. The survey shows Komo’s progress on Mamdani ranges between 20 and 24 % in general.

Andrew Como has denied nearly $ 3 million in publicly identical money to the offer of the mayor, indicating a “software error”

Marist College found only two Democrats in the crowded preliminary elections who managed to obtain a percentage of two number: the head of the city council, Adrian Adams, and Mister City Brad Lander. In the poll, Adams came out of the race in the fourth round and Lander in the fifth. The rest of the candidates were in one numbers with only two of them, which made them out of the first round, and by the third round, all of them were all outside.

Despite his popularity in the Marist College poll, the Como campaign faced many setbacks. The former ruler was absent from matching the funds twice. In April, the campaign to finance the campaign in New York City (NYCCFB) indicated that at least 20 % of the CUOMO disclosure contains documentation errors related to contributions.

NYCCFB also said that the Cuomo campaign failed to meet the threshold of the two -part parts of the total contributions, which should be at least 1,000 different people, and shareholders, which must reach at least $ 250,000, needed to obtain money publicly.

The Como campaign blamed a “technical programs error” in denial.

Cuomo Lands Key Endormment as a return to the mayor of New York City.

On Monday, the Cuomo campaign was more than $ 622,000 in matching funds by alleged coordination with Super Pac, according to New York 1, which represents another financial setback for the previous ruler’s campaign.

Komo opponents also criticized the previous differences, including his resignation and the treatment of Covid-19 in 2021. The current New York mayor, Eric Adams, demanded the “answer” to questions about the allegations surrounding the death of the Nursing House related to Covid. Mayor Adams said that these allegations should not be “automatic removal”, but those who lost their loved ones want to know “exactly what happened.”

Mayor Adams runs for his re -election. However, he does this as independent democratic. Apple’s Great Mayor won the eighth round of voting in the 2021 election session.

“I am in the race to the end. I am not running on the democratic line. It is not realistic to run my numbers and manage a good campaign (from) where we are now,” Adams told Politico in April.
