Darden plans 40-45 Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse locations in coming year

Darden Restaurants is looking to open more Longhorn Garden and Longhorn Steakouse restaurants.

“Maybe you will get 40 to 45 openings” between the chains “next year”.

Darden runs more than 930 olive garden site as of late May, when it ended in 2025 financial. Meanwhile, the number of Longhorn Steakouses, owned by the company, has reached more than 590.

Ruth’s Chris, Cheddar’s Scatch Kitchen, Yard House, The Capital Grille, Chuy’s, Seasons 52 and Eddie V’s are among the other chains currently within the Darden brands collection.

“Yard House may be in medium numbers, and then you have all other brands that may contribute perhaps 15 others or so,” Folnam. “But while we look at the future, we expect other brands to become more part of this mixture.”

The Financial Director of Analysts and Investors told Darden that he believes that there is still a “huge opportunity” for Longhorn to open between 25 to 30 sites per year and the olive park to be “in the 20th range for the foreseeable future.”

“But we also, as I said, other brands will start to contribute more,” the brand’s mix “and we move to the next few years,” he said.

His comments came in response to an analyst about the total new restaurants between 60 and 65 years, which Darden expects that it will be launched in the fiscal year 2026 and when the unit’s growth was expected to grow.

“We are actually building the pipeline,” Venam said. “We expect to be in 3 plus [percent] It ranges over the next five years. ”

Darden has more than 2100 company -owned restaurants in all its brands at the end of 2025.

Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakouse have been present since the early eighties of the last century, when Darden got the last brand in 2007. Longhorn Steakouse ranked second to customer satisfaction between the full show chains in the American Customer Index restaurant and the study of food delivery earlier this month, while the Italian series was Close to 81.

Olive Garden sales reached $ 5.2 billion for the fiscal year 2025, which represents an increase of 2.8 % over the previous year. The annual Longhorn sales increased by 7.8 % to $ 3.03 billion.

In general, Darden achieved approximately $ 12.08 billion of sales during the fiscal year 2025 with net profits of $ 1.05 billion. For the 2026 fiscal year, sales will grow 7-8 %.

During the profit call, the company also revealed that it was looking at the “strategic alternatives” of the Bahma Breeze 28 Location.

“We have made a difficult decision that these remaining sites and the Bahma Breeze brand are not a strategic priority for us. We also believe that this brand and this restaurants have the ability to benefit from a new owner,” said CEO Ricardo Cardinas. “Thus, we will think about the strategic alternatives of Bahama Breeze, including a potential sale of the brand or convert restaurants to other brands Darden.”
