Exclusive: A life -supporting group celebrates a “massive victory” after the family organization announced two of its facilities in Houston, Texas, in this fall, where Republican lawmakers continue to target the organization.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the CEO of 40 days and the founder of Life Shawn Carney, a Houston resident, expressed “both personal and professional overcoming” at the closure of facilities, including the 78,000 square feet clinic and which he said was the largest abortion facility in Western Hemispher.
“This is huge news of the pro -life movement and shows the direction in which the planned paternity is going, which is declining,” Carney said.
The GULF COAST coast in its plan – which runs six clinics in the Houston and Atanan area in Louisiana – will close the Prevention Park and the southwestern centers on September 30, while other Houston facilities will be obtained by the largest subsidiary of the organization in Texas.

This comes amid several closing operations of family planning facilities in various states, including New York, where the organization sells the only Manhattan Health Center building for $ 39 million.
Institutions in the states led by the Republican Party were forced with the restrictions of abortion, including Texas, to stop procedures after the Supreme Court’s decision for 2022, which canceled Roo F. Wadi and send decisions on abortion to the United States.
“Now they are closing the largest abortion facility in the world,” Carney said. “Their pioneer. They are very proud of him in Houston, Texas. They finally close him, which is incredible.”
The company cited the increasing costs, employee lack and low payment rates as reasons for the closure of Houston facilities. Republican officials have made repeated attempts to close family planning, even after almost all abortion operations were banned under Texas Law.
The Trump administration has sought to impose financing discounts on family planning that could lead to the closure of additional facilities. A item in a backed invoice from the Republican Party would end Medicaid’s payments for a year for abortions who received more than $ 800,000 from the program in 2023.
Giving the judge a preliminary order earlier this week preventing the government from reducing Medicaid payments to family planning organizations that do not provide miscarriage or did not meet a threshold of at least $ 800,000 in Medicaid payment in a certain year.

Carney said 40 days for life had prayed and grabbed the huge Houston external since 2006.
“Countless people have come out, and they gave alternatives. We had a life -leading busy buses to carry out free ultrasound. There were a lot of lives, but frankly, it seemed as if they were just a gall. “They were always open and always victorious.”

Carney described the closure of facilities as a “tremendous victory” of the life -supporting movement and said it represents “one of the biggest victories we achieved” after the extinction of Roe V. Wade.
“The planned paternity was always the highest heavy in the capital, and this was a weakness of life -supporting movement. But once [the court] He brought her back to the United States, she was returning her to the place where the pro -life movement was the strongest, which was the popular base. “

Carney said that the closure of the Houston facilities shows “more than anything else” that “the pro -life movement was designed for America after Roy, adding that family planning is not” a monster that could not go away. “
He said: “They are very weak. When you look at the closure of New York and the closure of Houston, this is what it represents. All nonsense about other services, service to women and low -income women. Because when you take up miscarriage or advance alternatives, they close, and close their most prosperous positions.”
