DHS ending collective bargaining for TSA’s Transportation Security Officers

Exclusive: The Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) says it ends the collective negotiation of transport security officials in the Transport Security Administration (TSA).

In an exclusively obtained version by Fox Business, DHS said that TSA has more people who do “full -time union” instead of performing examination functions at 86 % of American airports.

This means that of 432 federal airports, it includes 374 airports less than 200 TSA officers to perform examination functions. The Ministry of National Security said that these officers are paid by the government, but they are working “full time in the issues of the union” and they do not keep the testimony to perform the examination jobs.

The administration cited a modern survey of TSA employees, which found that more than 60 % of the “poor artists” are allowed to remain employees and “not surprising, to continue the lack of performance.”

The Ministry of Public Security said that these conditions have hindered the main responsibility of TSA “to protect our transportation systems and maintain the safety of Americans.”

DHS has argued that eliminating mass negotiation will make airports more efficient by removing “bureaucratic obstacles that will enhance productivity and reduce passenger waiting times in safety lines.”

DHS said that transport security personnel will now be promoted based on their performance, not the longevity or union membership.

“By [DHS] Security officers in the transport will not lose the security officers to lose transportation on their hard -class dollars in front of a union that does not represent them. A spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Security said in a statement, “The Trump administration is committed to returning to the recruitment and launch policies based on merit,” a spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Security said in a statement.

“This procedure will ensure that the Americans have more effective and modern [workforce] Throughout the country’s transportation networks – which means the shortest waiting times for airport security. TSA renews its commitment to providing a quick and safe travel operation for Americans. ”

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents TSOS, re -claims the Ministry of National Security, saying that TSOS who volunteer as trade union representatives represent less than half a percent of all working hours that were conducted in TSA, with fewer union representatives throughout the country in TSA more than the total number of total passages of 86 % of individual federal airports.

“47,000 transport security officers appear in more than 400 airports across the country every day to ensure that our sky is safe for air travel. Many of them are ancient warriors who moved from serving their country in the armed forces to wearing a second uniform that protects the country and ensuring another attack from September,“ Nayyem and the Trump Administration.

Kelly said: “They have given a justified justification for union officials – which shows this procedure that has nothing to do with efficiency, safety or internal security. This is just an excuse to attack the rights of Americans working throughout the country because they belong to a union.” “Our union in the foreground was challenging the illegal procedures for this administration targeting federal workers, whether in legal courts or in the public opinion court. Now our TSA officers are paying the price with this revenge procedure clearly.”
