Comes, 55, acknowledged that he was not guilty. He remained imprisoned without a guarantee in a federal insurance in Brooklyn after many judges prevented his resumption last year.

The summary of both sides rests their case

Today, the prosecution has settled more than six weeks after providing evidence against hip -hop muffin. In a routine move after the public prosecutors in criminal trials rest, the Compass lawyers have been arguing to cancel the charges. Pray that the charges were not proven. Judge Aaron Supramian said he would be sentenced later. Didi was previously acquitted once in his career in 2001 of all charges related to night gunfire, while Shane served nine years for this.

Later in the afternoon, the defense rested without calling any witnesses. In comparison, the prosecutors contacted 34 witnesses to try to prove sex trafficking and the conspiracy charges that led to the arrest of Comles in September.

However, the defense says that the prosecutors did not prove these accusations or that my former friend Didi felt coercive for the marathon sex events with male sex workers. Instead, defense attorneys say that “clarification” or “hotel nights” were consensual sexual meetings consistent with the lifestyle of the span.

Didi says to the trial judge

For the context, it is a usual practices in federal criminal trials that the judge directly ask the defendant about whether he should testify. This ensures that the defendant knows that he was his decision, regardless of what his lawyer told him. When Subramanian Combs was interrogated after the prosecutor’s break, the judge asked him how he was doing.

“I am fine, your honor,” Bad Boy Entertainment, before he volunteered in a courtesy before asking another question. “I want to tell you, thank you, you are doing an excellent job,” He said rain. The judge answered, “Thank you, I can.”

Combes said he “discussed” the matter completely with his lawyer before he decided not to testify. “This is my decision, your honor,” combs said, adding: “This is only my decision.” He clarified more of the judge, and more explained: “I mean, it is my decision with my lawyer … my decision is made. I call it.”

More details about the past seven weeks of trial

Since the trial began in early May, the government’s witnesses included former employees of the Comes companies. However, most of the evidence came from the testimony of two former friends: Cassie Ventura and the internet character that was seen under the name “Jane”.

Ventura witnessed a period of four days during the first week of trial. The 38 -year -old said that she felt pressure to engage in hundreds of “obsessed displacement” because the meetings would enable her to be intimate with mothers after sexual performance with male sex workers. He claimed that he saw them spoiling each other with children’s oil and sometimes depicting meetings.

Meanwhile, Jin witnessed for six days about the sexual offers she described as “hotel nights”. She said she was putting them in her right perspective after the start of treatment three months ago. She said that she was coercive to engage in her last August, but she did so because she loved and still loves mothers. Ventura was in a relationship with combs from 2007 to 2018, while Jin was often with him from 2021 until his arrest. The arrest canceled its plan to meet at the New York Hotel, where he took him to reserve.

Defense lawyers have interrogated witnesses throughout the trial to prepare their case. Many of them reluctantly or only after giving them immunity from any crimes they may have committed.

No testimony, but he was defending himself from his seat

Comles was active in his defense. He wrote notes for his lawyer, which sometimes helps them to determine when he stops interrogating one of the witnesses. Once, the judge invited him to nod with enthusiasm towards the jury during a successful extension of the interrogation by one of his lawyers. Representatives of the prosecution complained that his gesture was a form of martyrdom without being subject to interrogation. The judge has warned that he could exclude Didi from his trial if this happens again.

Last week, public prosecutors and jury showers showed 40 minutes of recordings made by “obsessed spells” or “hotel nights”. Many jury seemed so severe as they saw and listened to the sound of the meetings, but most of them seem to be interacting. The final arguments are scheduled to start on Thursday.
