Rand Paul opposes Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ unless debt ceiling hike removed

Paul CBS told “the nation’s confrontation” Margaret Brennan that he and three other Republican Senators would become against the bill unless it is amended.

“I think there are four of us at this stage, and I will be very surprised if the bill is not amended at least in a good direction,” Paul said.

“I want the tax cuts to be permanent. But at the same time, I do not want to raise the roof of the debt of five trillion,” he added.

Trump warned on Saturday that Paul “plays directly in the hands of Democrats” if he votes against the bill.

“if Senator Rand Paul Trump wrote on the truth on Saturday afternoon: “Voices against our great, large and beautiful bill, as he voted, along with extremist left -wing Democrats, and a 68 % tax increase, and perhaps most importantly, is the first time ever on the debts of the United States.”

“Rand will play in the hands of the Democrats, and the great Kentucky people will never be forgiven! The growth we are witnessing, as well as some cost at a later time, will solve all the problems. America will be greater than ever!”

Next week, Republicans in the Senate will play their role to analyze the huge package and change changes that could be a difficult sale of the House of Representatives speaker Mike JohnsonR-La. And that can only lose three votes.
