DNI Gabbard refers intel officials to DOJ for prosecution over alleged leaks of classified information

Exclusive: The Director of National Intelligence, Toulcy Gabbard, referred two professionals in the intelligence community to the Ministry of Justice for the Criminal Prosecution on Wednesday regarding the alleged leaks of secret information, Fox News Digital learned.
The ODNI FOX News Digital official told the intelligence community professionals leaked from the information classified to the Washington Post and the New York Times. The third criminal referral is “on its way” to the Ministry of Justice.

“The politicization of our intelligence and the leakage of classified information endangers our nation’s security and must end,” Gabbard told Fox News Digital. “Those who leak from the classified information and accountable to the maximum of the law will be found.”
“Today, two contestants in the intelligence community were referred to the Ministry of Justice for criminal referral, with a third criminal referral on its way, which includes the last illegal leakage of the Washington Post,” said Gabbard. “These criminals in the deep countries leaked secret information for partisan political purposes to undermine President Trump’s agenda.”
“I look forward to working with the Ministry of Justice and the Federal Investigation Office for investigation, termination and trial of these criminals.”
The ODNI official said the step to refer to criminal prosecution is the first step in the “accountability of these individuals.”

“We are strongly achieved in other leaks and we will follow more criminal referrals, according to what he justifies,” the official told Fox News Digital. “Any bureaucratic society is intelligent who thinks about leakage to the media should take this as a warning.”
The official added that the Trump administration “will determine the leaks and leaks will face legal consequences.”
