Duolingo adding 148 new courses created with generative artificial intelligence

Duolingo, a famous platform for learning different languages, has announced that it will add 148 new rounds to its arsenal on Wednesday.

The new courses were created using obstetric artificial intelligence (AI) and was announced shortly after the company’s e -mail from Luis von ahn CEO stating that the platform will turn into artificial intelligence.

Although the company has received a violent reaction about this step, adding new courses will double its content, making it the largest expansion in the history of the platform.

“The development of our first training courses took about 12 years, and now, within about a year, we can create and launch approximately 150 new rounds. This is a great example of how artificial intelligence directly benefits from our learners,” Von Ahn said. “This launch reflects the amazing effect of our investments in artificial intelligence and automation, which allowed us to expand quickly and unprecedented quality.”

“It took a little years to build a new cycle of scratch,” said Jesse Baker, chief learning design manager in Dolino. “Now, by using obstetric intelligence to create content and verify health, we are able to focus our experience as it is more influential, making sure that each cycle meets the strict quality standards for duolingo.”

Von Ahn said in his e -mail that the new transformation “will gradually stop using contractors to do action that artificial intelligence can deal with.”

“Al is not just a production boost,” he wrote. “It helps us to get close to our mission. To teach well, we need to create a huge amount of content, and do so manually does not expand. One of the best decisions that we have taken recently replaced the process of creating slow manual content with one -backed artificial intelligence. Without AL, it will take decades to expand our content for learners.
