Elon Musk’s Lawyers Claim He ‘Does Not Use a Computer’

Elon Musk’s lawyer He claimed that he “does not use a computer” in a court file on Sunday related to a lawsuit against Sam Taman and Openai. However, Musk has posted pictures or pointed to his laptop on X several times in recent months, and general evidence indicates that he owns and appears to be using at least one computer.

Musk and the start of artificial intelligence began a lawsuit against Openai in February 2024, claiming that the company committed the contract violation by giving up its founding agreement to develop Amnesty International “for humanity”, and instead choosing “to increase profits for Microsoft”.

The Sunday Court file was presented in opposition on Friday from Openai, who accused Musk and XAI of failing to completely comply with the discovery process. Openai claims that Musk’s lawyer does not plan to collect any documents from him. On this weekend file, Musk’s lawyers claim that they told Openai on June 14 that they “are conducting searches on Mr. Musk mobile phone, after searching for his emails, and that Mr. Musk does not use a computer.”

Musk and Xai Corp lawyers did not respond immediately for the suspension requests. In the deposit, the legal Musk team opposed the allegations that he was resisting discovery efforts.

Several X WIRED employees tell that while Musk works mainly from his mobile phone, he was sometimes seen using a laptop.

Musk also made general data about computers that it seems to have in the recent past. In December 2024, Musk posted a picture of a laptop on X with a starting suspension, “This is a picture of my laptop.” The post, which was made in a 15 -minute response from a game of Diablo video game, claims that he “tests Starlink Streaming during flying”, indicating that he may use a laptop for professional purposes. Musk has broadcast more than 10 times since August 2024, which apparently indicates that it is the desktop planning of the game, and he usually says he is doing this to test the Starlink flow capacity.

Musk also made more modern signals to what appears to be the same laptop. In May 2025, MUSK said on X that “he still uses the old laptop for a personal computer with a DOGE sticker it has long made by a fan.” The publication was a response to a user who asked what to prepare games and whether it was a “full computer for games”. This user was responding to a 15 -minute stream of Diablo.

The image that was published in the response is displayed in a black laptop with Aero brands, a style of computer that usually runs Windows and is popular with players, with a dollar bill label that was edited in honoring Memecoin “Doge”. (Memecoin appears to be later inspired by the name of the so -called Ministry of government efficiency.) MUSK says in the same position that the laptop is three years old, and that the poster gave him by a man in Germany.
