Empowering the next generation for an AI-enabled world

I tried the artificial intelligence course and resources on a global scale

Artificial intelligence has the ability to push one of the greatest social, economic and scientific transformations in history, and we need to ensure technological benefits as possible as possible.

One of the important ways to do this is by accessing artificial intelligence teaching to develop the next wave of thinkers, researchers and artificial intelligence leaders. It is equally important to ensure that these new generations are diverse, which brings different views necessary to create the solutions of Amnesty International that meets the needs of society.

However, every young man is currently not accessing artificial intelligence education and resources.

Today, Google DeepMind and Raspberry Pi Foundation expand the access to AI Experience.

This comprehensive introductory course for teachers is designed to teach institutional knowledge from 11 to 14 years through the responsible and interactive lessons, activities and video. The materials created with educational experts are in line with installed learning and development practices. Now, we are expanding the scope of the global artificial intelligence experience, with the aim of enabling more students for the world of artificial intelligence.

Expanding the scope of access to the demand for artificial intelligence education

Since its launch last year, the experience of artificial intelligence has reached more than 200,000 students all over the world with requests for translated materials from teachers in countries including Canada, Kenya and Romania.

He originally focused on the United Kingdom and encourage access, especially students from low economic backgrounds, and the program’s request has inspired an investment of one million pounds to expand the program, which increased more students for a world of artificial intelligence. This investment in working with regional delivery partners will help us to design and translate artificial intelligence lessons, and enable training thousands of teachers to hand them over in their classroom.

Google DeepMind and Raspberry Pi Foundation collect a global group of organizations at the front edge of the Literacy Movement Amnesty International to provide training for local teachers to teach lessons to their students. The first stage of expansion is ongoing, with the presence of intentions signed with:

  • Asociatia Techsoup (Romania) provides local non -profit organizations, schools, libraries and charities with modern technological resources and training to advance social change.
  • The digital moment (Canada) is devoted to enabling young change makers through biological skills such as coding, literacy for data, and AI through dynamic educational experiences aimed at social good. They are defending moral innovation and comprehensive learning, providing various youth tools and opportunities to form a brighter future.
  • Techkidz Africa (Kenya) sponsors the next generation of technology through technology programs designed in robots, coding and digital design.

Advance our commitment to increasing diversity in artificial intelligence

By expanding the AI experience globally, we also aim to increase the development of a more diverse society than scientists, engineers and artificial intelligence leaders to develop and spread artificial intelligence techniques. Increased acting in artificial intelligence allows various values to form and use its design.

This comprehensive commitment also extends to our initiatives and other cooperation, including:

  • Scholarships and fellowships: We provide funding for universities to support the provision of scholarships for students represented by an incomplete representation of postgraduate studies in artificial intelligence and relevant fields. This includes the provision of financial aid, guidance from Google Deepmind researchers and engineers, and access to artificial intelligence conferences and events to build a society of students and researchers of diverse artificial intelligence. Our fellowships offer early representative groups in the fields of post -PhD financing. Besides financial support, we provide opportunities for colleagues directed by the Great DeepMind.
  • AIMS AI For Science Masters: In September 2023, we supported a new program for “AI For Science” for African features through our cooperation with the African African Science Institute (AIRMS), a one -year residential program designed to build artificial intelligence skills for scientists.
  • Deep Learning Indaba: We have supported this annual gathering, which unites more than 800 members of the artificial intelligence community in Africa for a week of education, research, and discussion on the latest developments in artificial intelligence, with Google DeepMind researchers voluntarily participated in establishing the event.

Ensuring everyone’s voice

In order for everyone to help everyone, everyone must be affected. This diversity is crucial to ensure the compatibility of artificial intelligence techniques with the needs of everyone, and to achieve the possibility to become one of the most important techniques that have ever invented.

While we strive to establish Amnesty International, which benefits humanity, we will continue to put education in the essence of our mission, and invite teachers, students, lovers, and everyone between them, to join us.
