Kreilkamp Trucking acquires Iowa truckload carrier’s assets

Kreilkamp Trucking Inc. On the assets of Waterloo, the gray -based gray transport, which stops operations after more than 40 years at work.
Tim Krilcamp, CEO, said the deal allows Kreilkamp Trucking to control an unknown number of gray transport trailers and shipping contracts, and some drivers will join Kreilkamp from Gray.
“I don’t want to go into a lot of details, but there were some assets that were useful for our fleet to go forward,” Kreilkamp told Freightwaves in an interview.
The terms of the agreement were not revealed.
Kreilkamp Trucking is a family -based airline -based airline in the Alleton and Wisconsin. In the first place, the company serves an area covering the Middle West to the East Coast.
Kreilkamp halls products including cooled meat, cheese, spirits, agricultural supplies, manufacturing supplies, paper commodities and printed materials.
“We have worked at work since 1935 and are currently representing the fourth generation of family administration, as the fifth generation works here as well,” said Kripamp. “Kreilkamp is a carrier company in the Middle West and we run about 300 trucks.”

Gray Transportation was founded in 1984 by Leroy Gray with one truck and a handful of employees.
In recent years, Gray Transportation has had a fleet of more than 150 trucks, 500 trailers and 100 drivers, providing solutions on the dry road. Global Equipment Manufacturer John Derry was one of the main shipping accounts in Gray Transport.
The head of the Ramine Darren Gray said that low shipping rates and rental increases on rented trucks from Rider are the main causes of the company’s closure.
The Jaras fleet of trucks from Ryder was rented.
“The instant market prices were low when we had to use intermediaries to return our trucks to the contracted shipping lanes,” Gray told Freightwaves in an interview.
Gray will work with Kreilkamp Trucking and he hoped that most of his drivers in the Middle West would find jobs with the carrier.
“I was the last part of the family generation at work, so I will work with Kreilkamp,” said Gray. “Perhaps 2024 was one of the most difficult years.”
