Where to watch, live streaming details and more
This year’s edition of the WTA Finals is almost here. The prestigious year-end event is set to begin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Saturday 1 November, bringing together the eight WTA stars who finished in the top eight in the race to the WTA Finals; Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina, Madison Keys and Yasmine Paolini.
Coco Gauff won the title in the 2024 edition, the first time the year-end tournament had been held in Saudi Arabia, and was also the first taste of American glory at the annual women’s tennis tournament. Iga Swiatek is the only other player this year to have tasted the WTA Finals title before.
This time, defending champion Gauff, currently ranked third in the world, finds herself in a group with Stefanie Graf, which also includes top seed Aryna Sabalenka, fellow American Jessica Pegula and Jasmine Paolini.
The other group, called the Serena Williams Group, includes Iga Swiatek, a former top seed and six-time major champion, two other Americans, Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys, and former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina. The two groups will play in a round-robin format, with the two leading players in each group qualifying for the semi-finals.
The first round of the group stage will witness the following matches:
- Iga Swiatek vs. Madison Keys
- Amanda Anisimova vs. Elena Rybakina
- Aryna Sabalenka vs Jasmine Paolini
- Coco Gauff vs. Jessica Pegula
