Trump names Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, a former county judge, as interim top federal prosecutor in D.C.

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is called the Fox News host Janine Peru, the former prosecutor of the province and the elected judge, to be the largest federal public prosecutor for the country’s capital after abandoning his first choice for this position.
Pirro, which joined Fox News in 2006, displays the “Five” network show on the evenings of the week. It was elected as a judge in the Western County Court in New York in 1990 before spending three periods as a lawyer in the province elected in the province.
Trump took advantage of at least the leadership of the US Lawyers Office in the country after obtaining his candidacy for conservative activist Ed Martin Junior as a position earlier on Thursday. In a publication on the social truth, Trump said he was mentioning Peru as a temporary lawyer for the United States in Washington, DC, but he did not indicate whether he would be nominated in a confirmed position on a permanent basis.
Trump wrote: “Janine is incredibly qualified for this position, and he is considered one of the senior provincial lawyers in the history of New York State. She is in a chapter on its own,” Trump wrote.
Trump Martin withdrawn from looking after the main Republican senator said he could not support Martin for this position because of his defense of rioters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“He is a great person, and he was not getting support from the people who thought,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office on Thursday. “But we have someone else will be great,” he added.
Martin’s pioneering role in the Trump movement “stopping theft” was frustrating for subordinates who spent four years in the trial of more than 1500 defendants from riots only to see the president collectively. Peru has its own relationship with unimaginable conspiracy theories.
In 2021, SmartMatic USA filed a lawsuit against Fox News, Pirro and others to publish it on false allegations that the company helped “steal” the presidential elections for the year 2020 from Trump. The defamation of the company, submitted in the New York State Court, requested $ 2.7 billion from the defendants.
Pirro is the latest in a series of Trump’s upcoming dates from Fox News- a list that includes Defense Minister Beit Higseth, who participated in hosting “Fox & Friends Weekend”.
“Janine Peru has been a wonderful addition to the past five years and a long -standing host through the media in Fox News has contributed greatly to our success throughout her 14 -year term. We wish her all the best in her new role in Washington,” said Fox, a spokeswoman for Washington Fox in a statement.
Martin as an American lawyer in the province of Colombia since Trump’s first week in his post. But his hopes for maintaining the job faded amid questions about his qualifications and background. Martin has never worked as a public prosecutor or tried a case before taking office in January.
Martin caused a choir of critics during his short but loud presidential term. It was launched and reduced the license of subordinates who worked on political sensitive issues. Posted on social media on the goals of possible investigations. The head of the office of the office was forced to resign after directing to check a government contract during the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden.
Martin’s temporary date is scheduled for May 20.
Peru, a graduate of the Faculty of law in Albani in 1975, has experience in the courtroom much more than Martin. It led one of the first home violence units in the country at the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
After its elected periods as a province’s judge and lawyer, Peru made a short campaign in 2005 as a Republican to dismiss the democratic Senator at the time, Hillary Rodham Clinton, before announcing that she would run for New York Public Attorney instead. She lost this race against Andrew Como, former New York Governor Mario Como.
Peru has become a television summary everywhere during the OJ Simpson killing, often on “Larry King Live” of CNN. During her time on Fox News, Trump’s interview was repeatedly conducted.
In the last minutes of his first term as president, Trump issued an amnesty for the ex -husband of Peru, Albert Peru, who was convicted in 2000 for conspiracy and tax evasion.
