Exclusive-USPS blocks shipping of illicit vapes in boost for Big Tobacco

LONDON (Reuters) -The American postal service broke the unorganized VAPES distributors using its services for business shipments, and the messages that were reviewed by Reuters, in a blow to the millions of dollars industry that led to large tobacco sales.
The messages, which have not been reported previously, show that USPS was written to Major Major Distributor Dission VAPE, and prevented them from using its services after the law management in New York City, which represents the city government and legal issues, evidence that its shipments break the laws.
The USPs will benefit tobacco giants including Altria and American American Tobacco, which has been fought for years against unorganized VAPES, most of them from China.
The unorganized vales lacks the authorization of the American Food and Drug Administration required to be legally sold in the United States, the world’s largest smoking alternative market.
The USPS, which canceled the demand for the postal exception to VAPE last month after it had received evidence that the company has shipped VAPES that lacks the Food and Drug Administration License (FDA) that violated the local flavor ban, and also showed a message from USPs to the company, on July 15.
“The local Buffalo BME office will not accept any packages of … VAPE demand that contains end products,” I read the message, referring to nicotine connectivity systems, another term for Vapes.
Fab’s demands said that it complied with the relevant laws and was competing for the cancellation, adding that the industry is working in a “gray area” with only a small number of armed products that do not meet the demand for consumer.
“We reject any description demanding the request of VAPE as anything other than transparent, legal and good reputation,” she said in a statement.
Usps did not respond to the suspension request.
Limited exceptions
So far, the US Food and Drug Administration has allowed only 39 electronic cigarette products.
But unauthorized devices are widely available as the authorities are struggling to contain them.
Under the 2021 Law, USPS is restricted to sending Vapes directly to consumers, internationally and in most other circumstances.
Excludes Limited local charges include companies, which need a “postal exception” and their shipments must comply with relevant laws.
Some other large transport companies, including Fedex, refuse to ship Vapes. DHL only offers transportation for work charges with prior approval.
Eric Proschki, deputy head of the city’s positive litigation department, said that USPS has provided the Ministry of Law in New York City with a list of other VAPE companies that gave it to postpartum exceptions so that it can evaluate whether legal requirements should be challenged.
