Solar energy continues to grow in the United States with Texas leading the way

Solar energy continues to grow with more facilities. A new report issued by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) says that the solar energy industry in the United States installed 50 GB of the current direct capacity in 2024, an increase of 21 % over 2023.

According to the report, 66 % of the new electricity generation energy came from solar energy.

Texas, a mandate of a higher gas oil and gas, led the nation in the installation of the solar capacity for the second year in a row, as California and Florida collected the first three places.

The demand for artificial intelligence in the United States will increase, but also provides an opportunity to manage energy

SEIA expects a continuous growth in the solar energy industry, and now after the effects of the supply chain from Covid, funds provided for alternative energy are distributed in the law to reduce inflation. According to the association, “Solar energy remains the technique of generating selection throughout the United States, as it is clear from the level of high demand in 2024. While 2023 was a year of recovery, 2024 years old was the embodiment of the Irish Republican Army. Endurance in politics partially compensates for demand.

SEIA also said that residential solar facilities began to recover. Quoting “major disturbances” in 2023 due to “many installed and funded bankruptcy”, residential solar installations increased by 9 % in 2024.

One of them is concerned with SEIA is the orders of President Donald Trump’s early executive. “During the first weeks of the new administration, President Trump released a series of executive orders that affect industries, including the energy sector. Many of them aim to enhance fossil fuels and background change initiatives,” the report says.

Think Energy Think Tank says fossil fuels generate less than half of the electricity in the first month.

These executive orders included an emergency advertisement for energy, freezing the use of federal lands, freezing federal financing, and new definitions.

However, SEIA is still optimistic about solar energy. In a statement, SEIA President and CEO Abeel Ross Hopper said: “Solar energy and storage can be built faster and more than any other technology, ensuring that the United States has the energy needed to compete in the global economy and meet the growing demand for electricity.”

She added: “The solar and storage industry in America has put the records of historical publishing and manufacturing in 2024, which creates job opportunities and leading economic growth. It is very important that legislators continue to support the energy strategy” mentioned above “that enhance the growth of American energy sources such as solar energy and storage.”
