EY was delayed the dates of the graduates who were appointed by its strategy in the United States and its consulting company for the third year in a row, as the four major company are wrestling with what he called “the conditions of the unclean and developed market.”
University and specialized students who were to join Ey Parthenon were informed after graduation in the next few months that they will now need “the number of March 2026”.
The move comes at a time when the four accounting and consulting companies move in a slow market for integration and acquisitions, and the companies of their deals, and the broader economic uncertainty that means that the number of current employees leaves.
Many companies were late to start the new recruits when the market slowed sharply in 2023, but EY was the only large company that was still doing this, according to Namaan Mian, the executive director of the administration operations, which trained students through the recruitment process.
“Other companies told me that recruitment plans are advancing at full speed,” Mian said. “There are a lot of consultants in books, not enough projects in the pipeline. Ey will push these children to sit on the bench.”
In an e -mail message to the 2025 recruitment members, EY said that the date of the start of March 2026 is still “subject to change – in any of the two directions – with the development of conditions.”
In order for the ranks to occupy more, the recruits will give the option to pay the date of their start to the second half of next year for a cut amount of $ 10,000, or to stay away from the company while they are allowed to keep the entry logging reward.
One person who rejected an offer from a large technology company to join Ey Parthenon called $ 10,000 to delay a year “disrespect”, and said he was “from the conditions” to receive news just two days after the graduation ceremony.
The person said: “I walked the theater on Saturday and I got this email on Monday.” “They literally open the email by saying our congratulations on your last graduation, and then continue to say,” Oh, by the way, we are restoring the history of your state. “
Ey The Financial Times told that she had given “a small number of updated appointments and options regarding the start dates … after carefully looking at the current economic environment.”
He added: “Our open and continuous contacts with this group include providing them with the extent of the start date to ensure the quality of duties, expand the scope of tasks, and create a strong professional path for our new carpet.”
The Big Four team has historically played a “up or out” model that brings tens of thousands of new recruits every year, but it quickly reduces the ranks. This creates pressure on profits when it leaves fewer people expected the company during periods of economic uncertainty.
PWC said this month that it would exclude 1,500 people in the United States, as well as 1,800 people, left late last year. In April, Deloitte executives said in an internal call that it would exclude employees through her advisory work.
