Fair-code pioneer n8n raises $60M for AI-powered workflow automation

The developer tools change quickly with artificial intelligence. So companies that facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence in their workflow are witnessing a boom. After starting the N8N (Enay-Ten)), she evaluated her workflow platform to become more convenient than artificial intelligence in 2022, and she had seen her revenues increased 5X, and doubled in the past two months alone.

Now against the background of this growth, Techcrunch confirmed that N8N raised 55 million euros ($ 60 million) as financing on the evaluation sources close to the company telling us that it is in the region worth 250 million euros (270 million dollars).

Berlin -based N8N said it now has more than 3000 clients from the institution and about 200,000 active users in its books. The start of this series B will be used to continue investing in technology and expanding the newer markets like the United States, having more than half of the N8N user base. The company does not reveal revenues, and the customer number includes free users and payment, as well as those who receive short -term and long -term contributions.

HIGLAND Europe leads this last round, where HV Capital, Packers Sequoia, Felicis and Harpoon are former. Sikoya led the seed tour of N8N in 2020; Felieses Series A in 2021.

The startup, founded in 2019, picked traction in its early years of developers teams looking for low automation solutions and symbol meat to facilitate the stitches of applications together in ways without much hard coding.

It also acquired attention for another reason: N8N built a reputation by closely linking it to the concept of “fair law”.

A fair law is the progress of the open source. The software developers use the open source instructions for free, but when they want to market the work built over it, it creates principles to compensate for creators or an open source society. Jan Oberhauser, founder and president of N8N, has reached the idea and runs a site dedicated to a fair symbol.

But while the N8N itself is based on a fair symbol and tends to the open source of growth community with an oral word – it contains more than 70,000 “star” on Gitap – the company says it was weaving in Amnesty International, which became the missile ship.

Amnesty International, especially the Trucophachid intelligence, is a clear supplement to automation – which embraced competitors such as Tines and Workato as well, as well as others in the broader automation world like UIPATH.

If the automation and lower symbol methods may erase some crowded works of collecting how different applications or services work together, then the Important IQ brings the least technique in this mix.

A year and a half ago, Oberhauser said, “We can see this thing artificial intelligence coming to us.” Soon he stored that the sweet spot is working in its products, to start reducing the amount of work that developers took to carry out automation by converting instructions into a natural language.

“It is directed to building the workflow,” is how oberheuser describes it. “People don’t really need to write 50 lines of code to integrate functions, for example, send an email.” Now in the natural language, you can write “Get information from X and send it to Y”. “We see the value in making changes to it more easily.”

The product is designed with a combination of LLMS in mind, and the idea is that if the end users are already building services using LLM or another, it can be replaced to work with the N8N platform. Like a number of other platforms that focus on developers, N8N has a somewhat active contributing community on platforms such as GitHub, participating in forums to help other developers in their questions, build and use the workflow molds that others have built. (N8N also contains a number of workflow molds.)

Even with all this noise and hope about artificial intelligence and GENAI these days, the version of the artificial intelligence of N8N took some time to stick, with no almost anything at all. Then last year, there was a sudden turning point.

Why? Perhaps some trends weigh together. There was an explosion of gossip about artificial intelligence in coding, with companies such as the swimming pool, code and magic all large money within months of each other. Then within the final users themselves, the chanting to know how to use artificial intelligence is also higher.

But there is a lot of noise and speaking there as well, and it seems that the ease of using N8N and the interest in the end is what concluded the deal with users, but also investors.

“Everyone is trying to take advantage of artificial intelligence but struggle to find cases of use of a process,” David Bligon, the high -ranking general partner, told me to call me a phone call. “The N8N and N8N productivity is what allows people to adopt.”

Oberhauser admits that although “time took some time to catch up with a knee,” now he says that about 75 % of all N8N customers use artificial intelligence tools they built.
