As Americans deck the halls, one mom wants to help families remember the reason for the season.

Lillian Ritchie of Dallas, Texas, created “Finding Jesus,” an interactive Christmas countdown activity that tells the story of the Nativity.

A revival of faith follows the death of Charlie Kirk as more people attend Mass and read the Bible

The Search for Jesus founder told Fox News Digital that the idea came to her during a Bible study session.

“We were talking about how hard it is to focus on the reason for the season, and how secular Christmas can be with all the chaos.”

A Dallas mother created the “Finding Jesus” group. This “fun and meaningful countdown to Christmas,” as it’s described, features a plush Jesus doll and 24 puzzle pieces paired with Bible verses. (Searching for Jesus)

A woman in her study group talked about how her son would pick up the baby Jesus figurine from the ceramic nativity scene, but he kept dropping it.

“You’ll say, ‘Where’s Jesus?'” Richie continued. And we all thought: Isn’t this what we should be doing — trying to find Jesus instead of all this other stuff?”

She felt that the Lord had placed on her heart the idea of helping children seek Jesus during Advent, rather than engaging in secular activities.

Richie launched the plush doll last year. Its small run of 10,000 units sold out immediately.

“I wanted something easy, simple, and well-rounded—not scary.”

"I wanted something that told us about the birth of Jesus [and] It was all scripture - and no comment from me;" The Creator said "Find Jesus."
